For the record, Mathis was sent down. did say he's not coming back up to take Holland's spot either - Strop is. Strop had 24 Ks and 6 BBs in 20 innings in the minors, with a 1.74 ERA. So hopefully he'll be able to step in and keep these 3-5 run leads the Rangers often get there, instead of them turning back into tight ballgames.

Tommy Hunter coming up from the minors to throw a CG against Tampa goes a long way. Really goes to show how important strike throwing is, and that you can be quite successful even with mediocre stuff.

John Danks and Armando Galarraga anchoring the rotation would sure be nice to have with this team.
