That's an inauspicious pairing, Kafka and spiveydinho. This site is going quickly downhill.

Welcome aboard. If you get the chance, you guys should try and contact Craig Wright and do an interview of him. He was the Ranger's sabermetrician in the 80's and came out with a book called "the Diamond Appraised."

Good to see this finally up and running Spivey and Jeff. Look forward to reading your ramblings.

You know you'll have hit the big time when levski stops by to offer some Diamonddreck for Han Blalock.

I sure can't wait for the Oakland-Alameda County Blogiseum...

congrats, guys. Now you just need pitching! :)

(You must be seriously pretty psyched about your GM so far though.)

Shouldn't this be called the Ameriblog Field in Arlington? Or Ameriquest Blog in Arlington? Or Blogblog Blog in Blogton?

I met Craig Wright once. Is he still active in SABR?

Two critical questions:

Have you met levski yet?

Why is this thread about the Rangers in Hot ToPics?

Why is this thread about the Rangers in Hot ToPics?

Jim gave me an explanation, but I'm not sure I really remember. Suffice to say, Hot Topics aren't really working like they're supposed to.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on the Rangers.

"You got a WHAT?"

And Shanizzle, we're looking forward to reading your thoughts on the Mariners. *poke*

These comments will look weird when my handle changes.

Wait, there are Ranger fans here now? Who knew? Good job raising your team's profile, guys. [not intended to be sarcastic]

Next, you'll be telling me that there's such a thing as a Rockies fan.
   18. MM1f Posted: December 13, 2005 at 06:08 AM (#1774906)
I love how the Rangers get a thing before As Mets or Yankmes fans do. Iguess cos 90% o fthe rest of the site is for them
   19. Repoz Posted: December 13, 2005 at 06:18 AM (#1774922)

Hey, none of those teams have won a World Series in this century, either.

Mariners? Who cares about the Mariners when the Seahawks are 11-2??
   22. Damon Rutherford Posted: December 13, 2005 at 06:32 AM (#1774945)
Who cares Indianapolis doesn't have a MLB team when the Colts are 13-0??

I agree. I loved Kevin Reimer. Bring that ############ on!

I'd offer to edit a Tigers blog if I was interested enough in 'em, but I'm not a masochist.

I really ought to have the keys, though...
:):)

Vaux, you and Buddah should speak to Tigerland. I'd read it.

That was supposed to be a joke. Two defining charaacteristics of Sox Therapy are levski being annoying and people getting upset and asking why yet another thread is in Hot Topics without realizing that it's really in Sox Therapy.

I generally ignore Red Sox news. Which is fair, as I imagine most of the Red Sox fans will ignore Rangers news.
   32. Backlasher Posted: December 13, 2005 at 09:54 PM (#1775875)
Turn your back for two minutes, and the Texans get a little corner of Primer. I was actually hoping that Spivey would do the rotosection and tell everyone how easy it is to outsmart those high SAT guys.

Well good luck with it. I haven't got excited about the Rangers since they had Oddibe McDowell. I'm sure you guys will create some tangent.

I have wonderful memories of that old dump in Arlington. Have you two read "Seasons In Hell"?
   35. Jeff K. Posted: December 16, 2005 at 08:00 PM (#1780603)
Have you two read "Seasons In Hell"?

By Mike Shropshire? I've read bits. Shropshire is golden when he's a guest on The Ticket.
   36. 44magnum Posted: December 16, 2005 at 09:35 PM (#1780794)
I strongly suggest putting aside a couple hours and read it all the way through.

What is The Ticket? What is Shropshire doing now?
   37. Der Komminsk-sar Posted: December 16, 2005 at 09:37 PM (#1780801)
The Ticket is Dallas's sports radio station - I've heard it's one of the best ones around.

As DK said, it's the DFW sports radio station; their former program director is now the national PD for ESPN radio.

As far as I remember, Shrop is basically just hanging out and drinking beer.
