Minor league stuff for April 12th:

AAA - Charlotte is currently losing 12-6 in the 7th. Everyone who has pitched for the Knights has been roughed up -- Lubish, Tracey, and Bentz. However, good news offensively, as Jerry Owens appears to be heating up, he's 2-for-4 so far with a couple of RBIs. Josh Fields also has two hits, while Rogowski and Sweeney have eached picked up a hit.

AA - Birmingham is beating Huntsville in the 8th, 8-4. Broadway pitched poorly, going five innings, giving up four runs on five hits and three walks. Offensively, Valido and Schnurstein each are having a two-hit night, while Getz and Collaro have a hit a piece.

I noticed '05 draft pick Dan Cortes got the start for Kannapolis (and got beat up). Last season with Bristol he pitched in 15 games, starting seven. Anyone know if the Sox see him as a reliever or starter?

Fausto Carmona gets his first start on Saturday against the Tigers. Can't wait to see him pitch...
