Indians.com: SportsTime Ohio finalizes broadcast agreements

Looks like I didn’t need to buy the MLB.TV package after all…

They’re now at 1.8 million homes of the 2.8 million they’re shooting for, with more announcements likely on the way this week.

Fastball Sports Productions President Jim Liberatore today announced that SportsTime Ohio, the new Indians television network, will air on WOW! Cable, GLW Broadband, Massillon Cable and Clear Picture.

“Everyone at SportsTime Ohio is extremely appreciative of these carriers’ approach to our negotiations,” said Jim Liberatore, president of Fastball Sports Productions. “Each cable system wanted to be sure they could offer the Indians and SportsTime Ohio to their subscribers from the day we started negotiating and because of their dedication to the process, were able to deliver.”

It appears that the Brandon Philips era is over. At the time of the Colon trade, there were a lot of people, myself included, who thought Philips would be a cornerstone of the infield for years to come. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up.
