Bio

Red, whose real name is Urban Charles Faber, has been a baseball fan most of his life and a White Sox fan since the 1970s. He saw his first major league ballpark in 1967 and was on hand for historic moments such as Disco Demolition Night, the Fred Lynn All-Star Game grand slam, the Ryne Sandberg Game in 1984, the Ozzie Smith homer off Tom Niedenfuer in 1985 and seven White Sox home postseason defeats spanning two millennia. His decision to stay away from Sox postseason games aside from the ALCS opener last year was thought by some (well, him) to have favorably affected the outcome of the 2005 postseason for the Sox.
