If anyone needs parking, let me know. I can probably get a couple of complimentary parking passes from the O’s.

This thread is dead. I am losing confidence. If I am still sick tomorrow morning I’m out.

Yes. You can bring bottled water in, too. I’m pretty sure you can also bring in some snacks.
Anyway, it’s pouring in York, and looks like it’s going to rain all night—we may not have any baseball tonight.

kevin, check your email… The impossible has happened, and I have work today that has to be done tomorrow.
I’m really sorry, and I hope everyone has a good time tonight, rain or shine.

Here’s the gang from the meetup
I think that stain on my shirt was from my soda cup, but I have no idea. It’s not there now.

Who’s who in that photo? I recognize Larry and Andy, but that’s it.

From left to right:
Larry Mahnken, HCO, kevin, Andy, Ray DiPerna, AROM (seated), retro-shiite, David Nieporent (seated).
Let me be the first to mention that Szymborski failed to show, with neither prior notice nor explanation, and thus missed Manny’s 500th tater.

One other situation occurred during the game that Larry, AROM, and then, me took notice of was a situation where Ellsbury tripled and was standing on third when Papi came up. The O’s put the Papi shift on and Mora was standing nearly as far away from third as third was from home. We all thought Ellsbury could have stolen home before the pitcher, who was a lefty, could have even released the ball.
But he didn’t try. There was only one out and Papi was up and he hit a sac fly so it didn’t matter.
Still, it would have been cool if Ellsbury stole home.

Wow, Kevin and Andy seem so harmless in reallife.
I’d be scared if I saw Nieporent in a dark alley though.

FWIW Szym was hospitalized with an ulcer in his esophagus a few days ago and I’m guessing he’s not feeling too well.

kevin and I got along just fine during the game. I suppose the avoidance of any topics that might lead to conflict played a part in that, but he was perfectly pleasant.

When Nieporent gave Kevin the money for his ticket, Kevin seemed honestly surprised: “I thought you weren’t gonna pay me!”

Szym is in the hospital. His wife posted this in the lounge. He sent his regrets.

I was just kidding him, HCO. I guess I sold the surprise pretty well, huh?
