Shouldn’t Chris Denorfia be called up & McCracken shipped out?  Quentin had a nice (ph hr in 1st ab as a Red)debut, but beyond a key pinch hit in Griffey’s triumphant return from the DL a month ago, he hasn’t done anything.

IIRC, in ‘99 both Brian Johnson & Mark Sweeney hit 3 run hr’s in their first ab’s as Reds.  Who else has done it?

How unimpressive was Milton yesterday allowing the end of his walk-less streak to rattle him so much that on the 1st pitch after the free pass he spoon fed one of his vinatge ‘05 meatballs to hit starved Neifi Perez.

I agree.  The only valid reason would be wanting to let Denorfia play everyday so that he’s sharp and ready to go when Griffey goes down with an injury.  They don’t care about McCracken, so he can rot away on the bench.

But how hard would it be to give Denorfia a couple of starts a week plus serve as a defensive replacement for Griffey in lopsided wins or losses?  He can also serve as a PH when needed as well.  Seeing how the Reds are still in the hunt for the NL Central, they should have the best 25-man roster they can.  Quentin being on it isn’t helping.
