STO is showing “classic” games during the week:  http://www.sportstimeohio.com/whatson.php

It was just bizarre switching between the 1998 division clincher, the Eagles/Saints game, and the Cavs/Clippers game…

I don’t know what was worse: being reminded of Sexon and Giles, or of Dwight Gooden and Cecil Fielder.

I was wondering when they’d get around to this.  Seems like it would have been one of the first things they put on the schedule when they launched the network.

Some of the games aren’t classic at all...they’re just old...which suits me just fine.  The occasional Doug Frobel sighting is always fun.

NESN never ran any classic Red Sox games, which was quite disappointing.  MASN does run Oriole and Nationals(!) “classics,” though.

Doug Frobel?!!  Let me guess - you were at the game where he hit the walk off.

Unfortunately not - I always ended up at the games where pitchers like Mike Walker and Sergio Valdez got destroyed.

The Frobel reference was because they showed this game a week or two ago.  Doug Frobel: pinch-hitter extraordinaire!

Ah, right, they said they were going to show the Joe Carter 3-homer game.  I thought you were referring to this one:  http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE198704290.shtml, which I was at.  We toasted “Frobel” many times that summer.  Lean, lean, year.
