Petit is pitching a solid game at Coors.

It's obvious the Dbacks aren't in the business of clogging up the bases today; they are hacking at everything. Having the opposing starter run up his pitch count via strikeouts is the new market inefficiency in game strategy...

If anything, the Dbacks aren't just going to concede this game to the Rockies...

Ubaldo's pitchin' the game of his life...

Go Rox!

A good old-fashioned Coors Field pitcher's duel to close out the regular season. Got to love baseball...

We're hoppin' for Hawpe in Portland!
   7. Eraser-X is dominating this site! Posted: September 30, 2007 at 04:48 PM (#2552104)
Are these guys this good? Or is Coors still a heavy hitting environment?
   8. Zack F Posted: September 30, 2007 at 04:48 PM (#2552106)
Whoa, and since when was Bob Wickman on the D'backs? I'm missing out on some great transactions.

Bunting with 2 outs?
   10. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 04:54 PM (#2552122)
Getting ahead of ourselves here
But when would a Col-SD playoff be?
and who pitches?

I just foolishly made a 2:30 appointment to see my Masters supervisor tomorrow
Did I screw myself?

PS
Would a one game playoff be on mlb.tv?
   11. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:00 PM (#2552131)
Every game is on mlb.tv. Just some of them are blacked out.
   12. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:05 PM (#2552135)
Every game is on mlb.tv. Just some of them are blacked out.

Uh, that made less sense that I would have liked.

Every game is on mlb.tv; some of them are blacked out in the USA, but not for me!!!
   13. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:06 PM (#2552137)
If they were gonna bring Fuentes in against Jackson why not bring him in to begin with?
   14. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:08 PM (#2552139)
Ah thanks,

Although here in Canada the Saturday afternoon games on Fox are always blacked out
Would the one gamers be like that do you know?
   15. Zack F Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:12 PM (#2552144)
B-B-Brian Fuentes!

Emilio Bonifacio??
   17. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:14 PM (#2552151)
Let's go Rockies!
   18. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:15 PM (#2552154)
Greg, the theory is supposed to be that if you can watch it on TV, then it's blacked out.
   19. stanmvp48 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:16 PM (#2552155)
I guess no one knows yet what time the playoff would be. I think it is Peavy vs Morales
   20. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:18 PM (#2552158)
Where's that hot chick who does the sideline reporting for the Rockies? I miss her... and I don't even remember her name.
   21. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:29 PM (#2552173)
Gift call against Salazar on the 0-0.
   22. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:34 PM (#2552180)
Make your MVP bid, Holliday!

Here's a good chance to make an MVP argument...
   24. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:34 PM (#2552183)
San Diego loses.
   25. Eraser-X is dominating this site! Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:35 PM (#2552184)
Wow, that was way inside on MLB.com
   26. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:36 PM (#2552186)
Here it comes... boy, what a run by the Rockies. This is more amazing than the Mets collapse, I think.
   27. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:36 PM (#2552187)
Is that an error too?
   28. Cowboy Popup Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:37 PM (#2552188)
Holliday on again, Tulowitzki scoring could get him the MVP.
   29. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:38 PM (#2552189)
How awesome would it be if Helton got the game winner?

Remember all the trade rumours
And how Helton wasn't going to be on the next Rockies playoff team anyway, so may as well get something for him?
   30. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:39 PM (#2552192)
Helton can get some good press here with the ribbie...
   31. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:39 PM (#2552194)
C'mon Todd, a long fly now would be great.
   32. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:40 PM (#2552195)
Excellent.
   33. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:40 PM (#2552196)
Tho a walk certainly helps too.
   34. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:40 PM (#2552197)
Oh well
good AB by Helton

Bases Loaded no one out
They get at lest a run here right?
RIGHT?!?!?!!?
   35. Eraser-X is dominating this site! Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:40 PM (#2552199)
Nice!
   36. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:40 PM (#2552202)
Wow
That was quick
   37. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:41 PM (#2552203)
At least one, yes.
   38. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:41 PM (#2552206)
Wow this NL season has been surreal. Two come-from-behind charges by the Rockies and Phillies? Un-####-ing-believable.
   39. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:41 PM (#2552207)
That should pretty much do it.
   40. Eraser-X is dominating this site! Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:42 PM (#2552208)
Open the floodgates!
   41. Richard Gadsden Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:43 PM (#2552211)
This is turning into a real big inning
   42. Biff, Red Sox Jinx Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:43 PM (#2552212)
Sweet, it's looking like we're going to have one playoff game, at least! Too bad the Mets couldn't hold up their end of the bargain.
   43. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:43 PM (#2552213)
Wow again. I am certainly glad we had none of this stuff in the AL this year (which would have undoubtedly involved my Red Sox somehow), or my brain would be in full meltdown right now.
   44. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:43 PM (#2552214)
Wow

If I'm San Diego I'm mildly frightened
I have the feeling it's going to be Peavy vs. the Will of God tomorrow

I'm not sure who I'd take
   45. Zack F Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:44 PM (#2552217)
Whoo-ee!
   46. Miko Supports Shane's Spam Habit Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:44 PM (#2552219)
Rockies have been making comebacks all during their winning streak...it's was almost shocking Friday night when they didn't cash in the two walks by Valverde.
   47. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:44 PM (#2552220)
my brain would be in full meltdown right now.

It's really not so bad having a full meltdown. I did and I'm still here. I'm just choosing to ignore my pain by becoming a Rockies fan for the postseason.

Provided they make it, of course. But I wouldn't bet against them at this point.
   48. Esoteric roots for the two worst teams in baseball Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:45 PM (#2552221)
This is really f**king amazing. Rox are looking to win it, which means we get a playoff game. And they've won how many? 13 out of their last 14 or something?
   49. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:45 PM (#2552222)
3 come from behind charges, if you count the NL Central, tho that was over a longer time period. Milwaukee had a 87% playoff chance on July 2nd.
   50. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:47 PM (#2552226)
www.baseballrace.com is fun if you want to see it all in its full unbridled gory glory...
   51. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:49 PM (#2552230)
Well, that was fairly disappointing considering.

But it should be good enough.
   52. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:53 PM (#2552241)
Oh boy. This could be brutal.
   53. Zack F Posted: September 30, 2007 at 05:54 PM (#2552243)
[Habeas?] Corpas making it scary...

Yogi's Aphorism applies here. And/or Jerry Glanville's.

Uh-oh.
   58. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:00 PM (#2552256)
Alrighty. Two more.
   59. John DiFool2 Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:00 PM (#2552257)
Huge out there.
   60. incarnadine Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:01 PM (#2552260)
Let's get this done, Corpas.
   61. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:01 PM (#2552261)
One more!

Headline if the Rockies blow the lead: "Corpas Delicti."
   63. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:01 PM (#2552263)
I've been sitting on the fence for 10 years
But if Cirillo gets a hit here I will hate him forever
   64. incarnadine Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:02 PM (#2552265)
What time is the possible one-game playoff?
   65. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:03 PM (#2552270)
This is crazy. Every team I watch buckles.
   66. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:04 PM (#2552273)
I bet he goes 0-2
then gives up a dinger
   67. Banta Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:04 PM (#2552274)
Congrats Rockies!!
   68. Miko Supports Shane's Spam Habit Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:04 PM (#2552275)
Ok!

Fogg vs. Peavy? Uh oh...at least they're in it!
   69. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:05 PM (#2552278)
Helton looks like a 5 year old kid!!!!!

Fabulous play.

Everybody talks about Melvin for NL MOY...but what about Clint Hurdle?
   74. Greg K Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:06 PM (#2552282)
I don't think Helton is going to let go of that ball
   75. Miko Supports Shane's Spam Habit Posted: September 30, 2007 at 06:06 PM (#2552283)
Hurdle now the Rockies' all time winningest manager. ha!

Any chance tomorrow's game is broadcast nationally? Any?

TBS will have it.

TBS will have it.

Thanks. Time? I'd love to see it, but even if it's the afternoon, I can maybe convince the traders to put it on the office TV.
