If not Swisher at #2 I'd rather have Johnson than Kotsay. He might actually get some fastballs to hit, or Stewart could steal a base...feet or no feet. Maybe even Chavez rather than Kotsay.
   4. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 11:40 AM (#2421020)
Kotsay is history's greatest monster.

Kotsay is history's greatest monster.

Kendall?
   6. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 11:51 AM (#2421035)
I can actually see the light at the end of the Kendall Tunnel. Kotsay is entrenched through 2008, and there's no successor in sight. Denorfia? Snelling? No.
   7. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:18 PM (#2421077)
Good things happen when you ground weakly the other way!
   8. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:18 PM (#2421079)
Chavez with the 2 out hit.
   9. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:28 PM (#2421090)
Gets the red out!
   10. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:30 PM (#2421094)
The best that can be expected of Kendall.
   11. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:30 PM (#2421095)
DJ doesn't want to go to New York!
   12. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:32 PM (#2421097)
Mike Rouse is a traitor.
   13. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:32 PM (#2421098)
That Rouse guy's pretty good. Where did he come from?
   14. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:32 PM (#2421099)
As Kotsay steps to the plate, we all pray for a balk.
   15. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:33 PM (#2421101)
Harrumph.
   16. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:34 PM (#2421102)
I'd be glad to speak ill of Kotsay every day if it would do any good!
   17. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:51 PM (#2421120)
I don't like the turn this game's taken since Ball 3 to Cust.
   18. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 12:56 PM (#2421126)
Oh the game's on now. Sweet.
   19. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:03 PM (#2421135)
No disguise for that double vision.
   20. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:03 PM (#2421136)
Yeah! Increase that trade value, Danny!
   21. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:03 PM (#2421137)
Johnson continues to kill the inside pitch. The way these guys speak of Byrd's pitching savvy you'd think he'd know that.
   22. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:06 PM (#2421141)
Well, at least we've got a runner on third for one of the hitters who occasionally, you know, gets hits.
   23. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:07 PM (#2421143)
Leadoff double wasted. Ugh.
   24. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:11 PM (#2421149)
It's better to be lucky than good.
   25. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:12 PM (#2421151)
Nice catch Fat Joe!
   26. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:13 PM (#2421155)
How about some weaker contact, Joe?
   27. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:13 PM (#2421156)
That doesn't mean you should expect all line drives to be caught.
   28. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:24 PM (#2421171)
Congrats to Frank Thomas.
   29. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:32 PM (#2421181)
This is pretty slow for a Blanton start.
   30. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:32 PM (#2421182)
One run not so bad.
   31. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:42 PM (#2421209)
Ooh, that hit the ground first, I think.
   32. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:43 PM (#2421213)
Yes, it did. Does that make a difference?
   33. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:46 PM (#2421217)
Too bad Harden's not available today.
   34. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:47 PM (#2421218)
HBP can bounce first.
   35. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:47 PM (#2421221)
I've had an assful of these guys over at third.
   36. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:50 PM (#2421224)
Unpleasant imagery there.
   37. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:52 PM (#2421232)
I see the old "score three runs early and turn it over to the depleted bullpen" strategy rearing its ugly head.
   38. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:53 PM (#2421236)
9-6 FC. Heh.
   39. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:54 PM (#2421237)
Nice heads up play by Swish
   40. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:55 PM (#2421239)
Ruddy Lugo.

   41. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:55 PM (#2421240)
Ruddy Lugo? really..
   42. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:56 PM (#2421241)
It looks like Flores.
   43. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:57 PM (#2421247)
So why is Harden not available today?

I just find it funny that when Gammons predicted Harden would be a closer 3 yrs ago, everyone laughed in his face..
   44. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:58 PM (#2421249)
It was the sight of Lugo even warming up that had me shuddering.
   45. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 01:58 PM (#2421250)
They must really hate Marshall now.
   46. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:00 PM (#2421256)
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   47. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:01 PM (#2421257)

   48. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:01 PM (#2421259)
Swish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
   49. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:01 PM (#2421261)
WOW what a catch by Swish
   50. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:02 PM (#2421265)
Harden is scheduled to pitch two innings Friday or Saturday.

And he will never be a closer.
   51. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:03 PM (#2421266)

   57. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:14 PM (#2421285)
If Swisher's hurt, it'd sure be nice to have a capable outfielder around...
   58. BourbonSamurai Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:15 PM (#2421288)
I like this Jack Cust fellow, where has he been all these years...

Ah, an Eric Chavez special.
   61. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:22 PM (#2421301)
Duchscherer, who was placed on the disabled list with a strained right hip May 15, felt great after a pregame bullpen session and figures to be sent on a short rehab assignment in the Minors as early as next week.

"I'd like to throw a couple more 'pens before I face hitters, but so far, so good," Duchscherer said. "It's just nice to pitch without any pain again, and I want to get back out there and start contributing as soon as I can."

Hurry, hurry, hurry.
   62. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:27 PM (#2421307)
Atleast its going to be Borowski pitching.
   63. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:33 PM (#2421318)
If you're going to be swinging through a hanging slider, then there's really no hope for you.
   64. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:33 PM (#2421319)
Is Buck unavailable?
   65. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:33 PM (#2421320)
And Kendall hits for himself. ####.
   66. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:34 PM (#2421321)
Dan Johnson's speed never slumps!
   67. Dan Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:36 PM (#2421324)
Oh god why isn't Buck hitting for Kotsay
   68. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:36 PM (#2421325)
Great job.

Remember that time when Milton Bradley homered off Joe Borowski? That was great...
   71. Ivan Grushenko of HK in Tokyo Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:38 PM (#2421329)
June's not all she's cracked up to be.

Blech
   73. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: June 28, 2007 at 02:39 PM (#2421331)
