Reggie Jackson? Over Rickey? An outrage.

A's website has Windsor as the starter now.

Yea it kinda sucks that they guy who wins for your team is more famous (in some circles at least) for playing for another team, and he was not even on their ballot.. ricky was the obvious choice... I want a recount! Take this to the supreme court!

Zito going tomorrow then, since it would be more on turn for Tuesday, I presume.

As for the stupid Hometown Heroes thing: the only more utterly "Duh-est" choices than Rickey among the "original 16" teams were Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron, and maybe Mike Schmidt.

So is Brown going to get any AB's this season now that the A's have clinched? Or will this only happen if JK and AM are not hit by a bus?
   6. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: September 27, 2006 at 09:36 PM (#2189854)
Brown's in the lineup, which I'll post as soon as I come up with ten sufficient names...

Tonight is Ron Fairly's last ever game for the Mariners' TV network. This is a good thing.

Dammit, I wanted Kiko tethered to the bench.

Take, take, and take some more, Herb.
   14. Danny Posted: September 28, 2006 at 12:31 AM (#2190092)
With the Twins and Tigers both losing, there's still a (very) outside shot at playing home in the ALDS. But, yeah, Calero and Street are the only relievers who really need the rest.

Why do you throw home with a fat catcher running?
   22. Danny Posted: September 28, 2006 at 12:58 AM (#2190119)
Stupid scrubs.

3.60 ERA in the second half, earning his way onto the postseason roster. Luckily, the A's aren't that stupid. There are, however, a million and a half reasons he'll be back in the bullpen next year.
   25. Danny Posted: September 28, 2006 at 01:10 AM (#2190138)
Veggieburgers with the leadoff single.

But Street has often been a horror show this year, so we'll see.
