Oh yeah, Tex is definitely heating up. Seems as if that ball was scalded too.

Yea, but McCann is in a slump. And the Ground Into Twin Strikes OFs at the bottom, or GITS as i will refer to them from now on
   3. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 07:52 PM (#2763088)
True, but even in his slumps he doesn't look utterly useless. And luckily, Blanco will be getting more starts, whether it be in center or left. It will also be interesting to see how Esco and Chipper hit after getting a few days off.

BTW, Glavine is getting tremendously lucky.

Showing nimble feet for a 40 yr old, dancing nicely between the raindrops. Think Frenchy's rep saved us a run in the first.

I would have thought Yunel would get another day off, but Bobby is getting a bit desperate , I guess

How unlucky can KJ get? How many lineouts does that make this year?

I am following on radio today, so no idea how hard it was. Am still waiting for his monster hot streak.
Now would be a good spot for tex to continue his streak.
   8. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 07:59 PM (#2763113)
A little outside perhaps.....
   9. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:00 PM (#2763118)
I'm following on the computer, but Gamecast steered me to say both of those things.
   10. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:01 PM (#2763119)
Glavine will not be able to compete if his strike zone gets pinched down anymore.
   11. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:04 PM (#2763124)
###### Zimmerman. I can understand the likes of Utley killing us. But to get killed by WIllingham and Zim in every series is ridiculous
   12. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:08 PM (#2763139)
Yea, it's a borderline crime the way he's been hitting against everyone else this year.
   13. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:12 PM (#2763148)
I hate to be one of those guys, but Gamecast is showing some inconsistencies with this umpire's strike zone. Pinching Glavine on the corners, and giving Redding some borderline calls.

Yes, that sounds like Glavine's career - always getting squeezed by the umpires.

This has the makings of another 1 run loss.

On the case of bad news getting worse, I was checking the minor league boxscores, and Reyes was taken out after 2 innings ( 44 pitches ). Didn't strike out any batter in that. Hope its not some injury
   16. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:17 PM (#2763165)
Does anyone remember that one year when Johnny Estrada was an All-Star for the Braves; yea, me neither.
   17. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:28 PM (#2763201)
It is really hard for me to look at this team getting out on the computer screen; must be incredibly hard to watch on tv.
   18. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:42 PM (#2763244)
Who's the NL Player of the Month: Chipper Jones or Chase Utley?
   19. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:44 PM (#2763256)
Utley maybe because he hasn't missed any time. But man, Chipper has carried this team singlehanded. More than half the victories can be laid at his feet.
   20. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:51 PM (#2763278)
It certainly will be an interesting three-headed NL East MVP race once Wright starts to hit more. And of course, all three teams stay in the race.
   21. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:54 PM (#2763289)
Gotta be it for Glavine; he did look strong over the last three innings. Lots of groundouts, even a K mixed in. Keep it up, Tommy.
   22. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 08:58 PM (#2763305)
Whoa, a Diaz 2 strike walk, impressive.
   23. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:05 PM (#2763326)
There's the futility I know and love.
   24. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:17 PM (#2763382)
Did Francoeur short-arm that? Put your glove up, man! Make an effort - this is the game!
   25. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:18 PM (#2763387)
Hope he did, it would give me another reason to hate him.
   26. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:20 PM (#2763406)
I am sorry - I was watching - he definitely did. He didn't even reach up for it.
   27. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:25 PM (#2763429)
For as much as Zimmerman has killed the Braves this year, Johnson has been real bad.
   28. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:26 PM (#2763442)
Lastings doing some damage.
   29. Barry Gibb Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:29 PM (#2763462)
And Milledge had been pretty bad against the Braves, and Campillo great against everyone, but that's the way **** goes. Odds the Braves comeback and lose 6-5?
   30. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:30 PM (#2763471)
Nice route to the ball, Lastings....
   31. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:34 PM (#2763499)

Bottom of the order against Rauch? Not good. Cordero pitching? Maybe.
   32. Chris Dial Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:42 PM (#2763547)
Cordero doing his best, but Zim with the error.
   33. Mike Hampton's #1 Fan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:50 PM (#2763577)
ETA for Chipper juicing rumors?
   34. Russlan is glad the 2008 season is over Posted: April 29, 2008 at 09:54 PM (#2763590)
At least it ain't a one-run loss.
   35. Russlan is glad the 2008 season is over Posted: April 29, 2008 at 10:09 PM (#2763643)
Is Duaner Sanchez the biggest X-factor on this team?

I'd love to see more velocity from him.
   36. Russlan is glad the 2008 season is over Posted: April 29, 2008 at 10:17 PM (#2763667)
Wrong chatter.
