So how are we going lose this one by one run? I am sure we will find a way.

5 hole Norton has already left 5 on. Nice going, Bobby.

You know Chipper is not going to hit .400.

I know Chipper is not going to hit .400.

But has anyone told Chipper?
   3. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:18 PM (#2798540)
That OBP is nudging 500 now.

A break for the Braves on the road! Wonder of wonders.
   4. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:22 PM (#2798546)
Tex!! Yea, baby!
   5. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:22 PM (#2798547)
How the heck are the Braves averaging fewer runs per game than the Mets when they have 50 points of OPS on them? It's not like the Mets are hitting awesome in the clutch so I don't think it's that.
   6. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:23 PM (#2798548)
Braves lead the league in double plays.
   7. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:26 PM (#2798553)
OK, but the Mets are only behind in that category by 15. Some of it has to be that the Braves are a slower team.
   8. whoisalhedges Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:26 PM (#2798555)
Who the hell issues an intentional walk in order to face Mark Teixera? Oh, that's right, Ned Yost.
   9. Master of the small sample size Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:26 PM (#2798558)
Clogging the bases.
   10. whoisalhedges Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:35 PM (#2798573)
So, Braves fans watching on TV -- was that interference call on Hart as bogus as the (admittedly biased) Brewers radio team thought?
   11. Ignatius J. Reilly Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:38 PM (#2798579)
Campillo is tiring. I hope BC recognizes.

Not a Brave fan but it was a good call. Hart backed out of the box which he is not allowed to do.
   13. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:44 PM (#2798588)
Hopefully Bobby lets Stockman and Soriano finish this off
   14. Ignatius J. Reilly Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:50 PM (#2798598)
BC loves him some Jeff Bennett, huh?
   15. Master of the small sample size Posted: May 29, 2008 at 02:57 PM (#2798605)
Oh man, people forgetting how to run the bases...
   16. whoisalhedges Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:05 PM (#2798618)

Fair enough, Russian. Ueck and Jim were trying to make it sound like he was attempting to get out of the way; but if he backed into the catcher's throwing path, yeah, he's out.

Boyer and Acosta? Really?
   18. flournoy Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:31 PM (#2798651)
Am I reading this right - Acosta is batting? I don't care if the Braves have a five run lead or not. With McCann on the bench and an eight (!) man bullpen, there is no excuse for letting a relief pitcher bat with the bases loaded in the eighth inning.
   19. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:31 PM (#2798652)
Yea, Boyer again?! All Stockman has done is throw scoreless innings.

Bobby has gone retarded again. Atleast this series has been a series of blunders.
   20. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:32 PM (#2798655)
Yea, But for Bobby, the only relief pitchers are Bennett, Boyer and Acosta. I have no idea what he is doing.
   21. flournoy Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:35 PM (#2798659)
Don't forget Ohman, but only for one batter.
   22. flournoy Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:39 PM (#2798665)
Okay, well Acosta worked out quite well, his hitting notwithstanding. Minus one point for me.
   23. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:41 PM (#2798667)
Heh, I thought Acosta was trying to make a mean face in between batters. Maybe Soriano has been havinga talk with him.

This bullpen has been amazing, given the load it has had to shoulder.
   24. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:47 PM (#2798679)
HA HA, Corky with 2 BBs. Career game!
   25. flournoy Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:48 PM (#2798681)
Corky Miller has gone 0-3 today and raised his OPS 80 points. Good show.
   26. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:53 PM (#2798691)
Stupid AL pitcher.
   27. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:53 PM (#2798693)
KJ comes through! Think BC will use Soriano to close? Seems like a good spot for his first game back...
   28. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:55 PM (#2798699)
Guess not.
   29. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:56 PM (#2798701)
Ignore #28
   30. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:57 PM (#2798706)
He did look like Acosta in that first shot..
   31. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 03:59 PM (#2798714)
Branyan v Soriano. 2 True Outcomes scenario
   32. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:00 PM (#2798716)
I'm watching on Gamecast and they showed Acosta before switching. They frown on us streaming video at work for some reason...
   33. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:02 PM (#2798720)
Had to make me look silly. The third outcome!

But the ump really squeezed him there.
   34. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:05 PM (#2798724)
Sori's back! A little shaky, but back nonetheless...

And a win, on the road! Whew.
   35. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:06 PM (#2798726)
We could have won all 3 games this series, if Bobby hadn't lost his marbles for a while.

I miss Pat Corrales :(
   36. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:10 PM (#2798730)
We could have won all 3 games this series, if Bobby hadn't lost his marbles for a while.

Or if we'd brought in any of the men left on base. Any of them...
   37. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 29, 2008 at 04:33 PM (#2798773)
You know Chipper is not going to hit .400.

I know Chipper is not going to hit .400.

But has anyone told Chipper?

I don't think anyone's told him. He keeps raising his average after every game, which is incomprehensible.
