I hate to be pessimistic, but what are the chances that the Braves get shut down by Josh Fogg today?

7-19 on the road? I say the odds of getting shut down are pretty good...but I like Jurrjens' chances. And hopefully Chipper wants a little payback for last night's sub-par performance.

Wow - I was about to say 'go after Jr. cuz he's not doing that much this year.' What do I know.

We're still in the first and Leo Mazzone is already unbearable as an analyst.

He laughs more than any announcer I've ever heard. Is this his first game with Fox?

Nice to see Chipper break out of his slump.

Greg Norton?!?! Wow! Wait...should we be happy or depressed that it's now a 1 run game?

It's going to be a long day.

Teix! Hopefully we can put a few more up and the relievers can hold on.

Jurrjens helping his nearly lost cause by legging out a triple.

Escobar, take a ####### pitch once in a while.

That's how it's done. KJ is the man.

I like that Bobby has faith in Jurrjens; for a young guy confidence from the skipper is huge.

Was the third strike to Tex low? I hate everytime the Braves are on Fox because I am in the New York market.
   17. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 31, 2008 at 05:30 PM (#2801335)
Nah - third strike was a breaking ball that looked pretty good.
   18. TheOtherHarris Posted: May 31, 2008 at 05:57 PM (#2801364)
Wow - nice job, Ring!
   19. Chris Dial Posted: May 31, 2008 at 05:59 PM (#2801368)
Royce Ring? Yes, the Mets drafted him, and traded him for Roberto Alomar.

BTW, Mazzone is calling the game on FOX, and when JUrrjens gave up the leadoff single to Encarnacion, he said "That pitch up in the zone probably cost Jurrjens the chance to win this game".

That man is a freaking genius. He doesn't need pitch counts - he can watch a pitcher and tell you when it's about to hit the fan. HEre's the thing - if Mazzone were in the dugout with Cox, he'd have pulled Jurrjens before the lead got away.
