Meh, we had last Monday off.
Still, I'm surprised that Toronto's at home today. I figure they should be on the road every memorial day and July 4th, and home every May 2-4, Canada Day, and Civic Day (first Monday in August). Although apparently the Jays aren't always thrilled about having to play at home on holiday Mondays, since half of Toronto is out of the city on long weekends at their cottages.
Sox have pretty long odds (at least in my head) tonight. I'm pretty much writing this one off right now. I wrote off the Kazmir/Wells game, too... but this one seems even more lopsided on paper. Toronto's a scary team.
Brady Anderson says hi.
You asked the wrong question. The choices are "great" and "greatest."
Your lack of faith is troubling, young man.
They also both make extra money in the off-season wrestling bears for a travelling circus.
Why am I tuning in??
Because you're a Catholic and believe that suffering is good for your soul?
I'm at work, so this is cool.
I just hate playing these guys, especially F-Cat
I was there last year for this day. Arroyo gave up a Grand Slam to David Newhan. Any wonder I never cared when we traded him...
Have you ever heard the Strokes song "New York City Cops"
It is from Is this it, however they took it off the US version due to September 11.
didn't do much today except drive back from the cape. good weekend, though. opened up a batch of our home brew (a barleywine) friday night, and i must say, it was a success. great weather saturday and sunday on the cape.
Yeah, but it was right around the same time that you saw Clement pitch a fine game in a 17-1 Sox victory.
And you took a picture of the seat Nazi.
i'm pretty sure this is his true talent level, as mgl would say. actually he wouldt say that ... but he does like to say "true talent level". ... so there.
I enjoyed the Sunday night game as well when Rent a Wreck hit two home runs and Wells went about 8 innings as well...
The Seat Nazi!! Evil women, I still have those photos!!!
rlr - World Cup is just around the corner. We just signed a kick ass deal with Budweiser. Most games are on between 1 and 5am...
Sometimes I wish we were all in the same time zone!!
And possibly even after two strikes.
It was a B-Side here to "Hard to Explain" in 2001. So I had those songs before the album and knew 'Is this It' would be special. The Song that took the 9 spot on Is this it in the USA isa crappy song as well, a true b side...
Damn, we might have had a double play there if the Youks error didn't occur...
i was not impressed ... and felt a little bit sorry for eddie vedder (who had a bottle of wine in his hand for pretty much the whole show). but theo played guitar on rockin in the free world ... so that was cool.
A lot of the matches will be on before I leave for work. So much better than when it was in East Asia. My friend has a ticket to one of the matches. I was jealous until I found out it was USA-Ghana.

Are you serious? That show was amaaaaazing.
Orsillo: "So it's the best offense in the majors against the best defense in the majors."
BATTING AVERAGE DOES NOT DETERMINE BEST OFFENSE.
FIELDING PERCENTAGE DOES NOT DETERMINE BEST DEFENSE.
Kings of Leon are supporting them here and my cousin who does not like Pearl Jam but loves Leon is going...
I told him he is a ####### idiot.
I have the last Morning Jacket album and dont mind it, I just dont love it.
Are Sonic Youth joining Pearl Jam??
Also the new Sonic Youth can be streamed of the website...GET ALL OVER IT!!!
i had pretty #### seats. (i was at the thursday show, btw)
Can anyone join the threads?? Or is it like SOSH??
for the west coast part
Also the new Sonic Youth can be streamed of the website...GET ALL OVER IT!!!
i've had the mp3s for a couple weeks now. haven't really gotten a chance to form an opinion, though.
Can we end this game already...
Flynn - Long time, sorry about the Champions league mate. Who you backing in the World Cup??
I don't know why!!!
Besides, brown doesn't go with your eyes. You're more of a seafoam man.
It's pretty clear that Toronto's hitters are willing to take pitches and let Clement get himself into trouble. And he has.
I've got a fiver on theDutch to win it all!
Don't call me brownshirt you f*cking #########. I'm barely right of center, and this as$hole makes a ####### cute little Nazi/facist joke-wtf is that crap? Not witty, not applicable, and not imaginative. Don't do it again, and go f*ck yourself if you won't aplogize, as you quite clearly should.
Mussolini had a temper too.
I'm thinking that Matt Clement needs to be taken out to pasture.
Any other approach is dumb.
Long Story Short...the Jays are pretty ####### good
Har de har har. Where does W land on that spectrum?
Get him out and give Delcarmen a go...
They have a friendly vs. Australia on the weekend, so I'll get a chance to see what they have...
I don't know why this Nano came in the mail...but I'll take it!
No way. I'll take Wright's shucking and jiving over Clements extrabase hit bonanza.
rlr, your mate the Unit seems to have pitched well...
Bring ####### Lester up - he has to be better than Clement right??
I think that was his evil twin. Or maybe the one pitching the last month was the evil twin.
If Jermaine ever hits it big and gets an entourage, will they be called the Van Buren Boys?
You guys vote like girls.
"Mussolini had a temper too. "
E Tu, Phillip?
Castro? What serial killer? I don't remember, Ponzi.
Randy J. went 6+ with 4 K's and 3 BB's. Nothing spectacular. Joe gave him quick hook to preserve his fragile postitive vibe.
Considering he was carrying close to a 9 ERA the ast month, that was pretty fantastic, really. His slider looked a lot better. I still don't trust him at all.
How Good is Vernon Wells??
Do I have a temper, teddy???
:)
Look, he just thinks you should change your name to something other than "Joel Rifkin." It has sinister connotations.
A Rod has two home runs of the Red Sox this year. One a tie breaker of Schilling and on a three run blast that was the differnce last week.
I must have missed the Memo on A Rod sucking...
The hate he catches is bizarre and unreasonable.
JP Riccardi basically more or less said that Matty's not the type to handle the pressure pitching for Boston today on WEEI.
You fingers have a temper, I've never met you, Phil. Look me up if you ever get back to NY. I'll get ya' hammered.
That could be next year mate, looking forward to it. Hopefully the Strokes will bein town
I went mad at one of the staff last week and she was a little upset. The manager goes..."Don't worry about Phil, he is just a big teddy bear"
