Drew's hurt.
   202. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:19 PM (#2870231)
Drew made up for his baserunning gaffe before with a good read on that.
   203. Curse of the Graffanino (dfan) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:19 PM (#2870232)
I thought Drew would be out by a mile.
   204. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:21 PM (#2870237)
Thanks mike
   205. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:21 PM (#2870239)
I assume they're bringing in a lefty to face Casey. Is Manny available to PH?
   206. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:21 PM (#2870241)
They need this insurance run, with Hansen the nominee to close. Papelbon can't go another inning as far as we know, right? Third straight day of work and all?
   207. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:22 PM (#2870242)
The Dutch are DAM silly.
   208. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:23 PM (#2870245)
Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
   209. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:23 PM (#2870247)
pile it on.
   210. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:23 PM (#2870248)
Make it academic, Jed!
   211. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:25 PM (#2870251)
Good AB. He's now driven twice as many balls in the air to the outfield on this trip as Lugo has the whole year.
   212. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:26 PM (#2870254)
Agree Chip - I'm all aboard the Lowrie express
   213. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:26 PM (#2870256)
Tek has lasted more than 3 pitches! Wow!
   214. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:27 PM (#2870257)
He is so terrible. Just awful. Really, really, awful.
   215. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:28 PM (#2870259)
Belated thanks for the free base runner as well with Drew
   216. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:28 PM (#2870262)
He is so terrible. Just awful. Really, really, awful.

He makes me sick
   217. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:29 PM (#2870265)
Cairo better not be walked again
   218. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:30 PM (#2870266)
I share the enthusiasm for Lowrie - and wholeheartedly agree that Lugo is far and away the second worst member of the Sox - but give Jed just a little time before we jump all on him. As we've seen with rookies - Youk, Pedroia, Okajima, Ellsbury - they can be great one day, shitty the next.
   219. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:31 PM (#2870271)
Throw strikes you ####### idiot - you have a 3 run lead and it is Cairo
   220. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:31 PM (#2870273)
I am very high on Lowrie. That ball jumps off of his bat. It usually carries further than I think it will from the moment of contact.
   221. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:31 PM (#2870274)
I'll take shitty Lowrie over Lugo
   222. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:31 PM (#2870275)
How small does Willie feel right now? Do the other players get to piss on him after the game?
   223. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:32 PM (#2870277)
Flipped over to the Mets game to hear Cohen, Darling, and Hernandez talking about their first rock concerts, although I missed Hernandez's. Darling's was J. Geils as the headliner with The Cars and Boston as opening acts (Boston area show). Cohen's was Stevie Wonder, with Rufus (featuring Chaka Khan) as the opener.
   224. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:32 PM (#2870280)
That was lame.
   225. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:33 PM (#2870282)
Typical mariner hit and hansen is the worst fielder I have ever seen
   226. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:33 PM (#2870283)
Just don't let the tying run to the plate, please.
   227. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:33 PM (#2870284)
Yeah, Hansen needs to get better at fielding with how many bouncers he induces.
   228. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:33 PM (#2870285)
Typical mariner hit and hansen is the worst fielder I have ever seen

I don't know, I think Papelbon beat him out on that Vidro dribbler.
   229. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:34 PM (#2870288)
I'll take shitty Lowrie over Lugo

I would be very happy if Lugo never makes it back to the team, I just don't want to get too pumped with Lowrie. He is an improvement over the steaming pile currently at SS, I just don't think he is the greatest thing since Jeebus himself.
   230. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:35 PM (#2870290)
What did I say about the tying run to the plate?

And just about the only guy who's a risk to hurt you, too.
   231. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:35 PM (#2870291)
#### me dead - tying run at the plate
   232. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:36 PM (#2870295)
Uh, don't bring the winning run to the plate, please.
   233. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:36 PM (#2870296)
I just don't think he is the greatest thing since Jeebus himself.

Aware - we are used to such ####

#### this #### as well hansen - this should be over if you could field
   234. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:37 PM (#2870297)
For chrissakes.
   235. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:38 PM (#2870298)
What's with Hansen's motion. Does he hide the ball well with it? You'd think a big guy like he is would have a longer motion.
   236. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:38 PM (#2870300)
#### you hansen - learn how to field you ####### turd
   237. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:38 PM (#2870301)
Am I the only one that has a hard time differentiating between Darling's and Hernandez's voices?
   238. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:39 PM (#2870303)
you suck Hansen - this is unforgivable
   239. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:39 PM (#2870304)
YOu ####### suck, Hansen.
   240. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:39 PM (#2870305)
Throw a strike you choking ####
   241. Curse of the Graffanino (dfan) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:40 PM (#2870306)
That was a Matsuzaka-esque inning there.
   242. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:40 PM (#2870307)
High wire act.
   243. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:40 PM (#2870308)
3-0...Obviously this calls for a stand-up call from the Captain. That always results in a strike.
   244. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:40 PM (#2870309)
####### hell - thank god for the odd day
   245. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:41 PM (#2870312)
fantastic. 3-3 on the road. seen worse.
   246. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:42 PM (#2870313)
Certainly hope the rumors of the Sox being interested in relief help grew a little more with that outing, and despite Masterson, Delcarmen, and Okajima's success today.
   247. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:43 PM (#2870316)
You thinking Fuentes?
   248. Chip Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:45 PM (#2870323)
That's who I'd like, although supposed the Marlins are hot for him.

Damaso Marte's name has also been floated.
   249. jacksone (AKA It's OK...) Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:46 PM (#2870326)
In his 14th season, Posada is extremely proud about being a full-time catcher his entire career. But he said that if he is to continue playing this season, catching is "out of the question" for the remainder of the year.

That helps.
   250. Dan Posted: July 23, 2008 at 08:49 PM (#2870333)
Well I was going to say that Masterson was the MVP of tonight's game, and WPA agreees.

I would prefer Fuentes to Marte by FAR.
