I'm willing to give up the kids for some insurance runs here

Yay Bay!

That was terrible, Abreu.
   104. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:41 PM (#2919520)
The wall screams again at Bobby Abreu, and he hears it.
   105. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:42 PM (#2919522)

   106. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:43 PM (#2919524)
More please...
   107. Matt Waters Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:45 PM (#2919531)
See that play by Abreu? That's why I'm hoping his services aren't retained. One of the worst fielders I've ever seen in my life.
   108. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:46 PM (#2919533)
Good ole lefty Tek, chasing ball four on the 3-1.
   109. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:47 PM (#2919539)
Girardi leaving him out there?

Oh right, Cora and Coco are next. He can easily still get out of this.
   110. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:47 PM (#2919543)
Can Cora stay out of a double play?
   111. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:47 PM (#2919545)
My guess is no. Then Coco will K.
   112. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:48 PM (#2919548)
Shocking.
   113. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:49 PM (#2919551)
I'll take it
   114. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:49 PM (#2919553)
Tack on!
   115. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:50 PM (#2919557)
Gasoline on the fire.

Tack on some more!
   116. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:53 PM (#2919565)
Top of the order...we can do some more damage!
   117. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:55 PM (#2919571)
Blow it open, Bagginses.
   118. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:55 PM (#2919575)
Pedroia! Be the Destroyah!
   119. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:56 PM (#2919578)
CRUSHED!

I love that little guy.
   121. villageidiom Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:59 PM (#2919591)
Eat it, Jack Nicholson.
   122. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 09:59 PM (#2919592)
It's like Game 7 in '04: nothing but Sox fans left in the Stadium to cheer.

Kinda like Sox-Yanks Game Chatter since then.

Nine run lead? Timlin time.
   126. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:12 PM (#2919643)
Looks like it might be Pauley time in the 9th.
   127. villageidiom Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:19 PM (#2919658)
And Timlin time = Giambi HR time.
   128. plink Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:20 PM (#2919664)
I am shocked, *shocked*, that Giambi hit a HR off of Timlin.
   129. Joe C isn't Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:20 PM (#2919665)
jason gimabi's rainbow juice!
   130. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:21 PM (#2919667)
Should have started the inning with Pauley.
   131. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:22 PM (#2919669)
If ARod does that, people get on his back for padding his stats...
   132. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:23 PM (#2919678)
Timlin is so useless
   133. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:23 PM (#2919679)
Nothing but line drives off him after pitching, sitting, and trying to pitch again.

Onc again, should have started the inning with Pauley. The old man can't pitch back-to-back innings anymore.

Even the pitch to Cano just now was a cookie that he got lucky with.
   134. Textbook Editor Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:24 PM (#2919682)
I am deeply, deeply worried that Timlin might very well be on the postseason roster, and, if so, that Tito would actually use him.
   135. Chip Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:24 PM (#2919685)
Decrepit Pudge sucks more than decrepit Timlin, thankfully.
   136. jjdnyc Posted: August 27, 2008 at 10:26 PM (#2919691)
A fine game. Goodnight all.
