The Red Sox have outscored Texas 75-36 in 8 games so far, for an average of 7 3/8 runs scored per game.

Tampa/Toronto in extras...
   3. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 04:26 PM (#2931270)
They need to finish soon one way or the other so I can take a nice long nap before the Sox game.
   4. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 04:38 PM (#2931281)
Parrish is going to walk in the go ahead run by walking Peña, isn't he?
   5. PJ Martinez Posted: September 06, 2008 at 04:49 PM (#2931288)
on to the 13th...
   6. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 04:53 PM (#2931290)
Goddamnit, I need my nap but I can't stop watching now...
   7. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 05:25 PM (#2931312)
Man, Percival is totally cooked. They really need to just leave him on the DL or at least give the closer job to Wheeler or Balfour.
   8. PJ Martinez Posted: September 06, 2008 at 05:28 PM (#2931317)
Thank you, Greg Zaun.

Two games behind Tampa, with a bonus: NY and Toronto are tied.
   9. PJ Martinez Posted: September 06, 2008 at 05:31 PM (#2931320)
On a side note, the AL East is pretty impressive this year. Even Baltimore has a winning record against the Central and the National League, and has gone nearly .500 against the West. They're well below .500 entirely because of their record within the division.

Hey Manny just equaled Ted Williams on the homer leader board and moved into the Top 20 for RBI. Boston FO's move in July is ranking up there with Anderson/Bagwell!

You're a funny guy, karl.

I sincerely hope Manny lifts the Dodgers into the playoffs. I would love to see him playing in October.

Youkilis in tonight. Our line-up is approaching full strength. Now only if JD Drew could get his back healthy.
   13. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 07:25 PM (#2931372)
Bradley's a late scratch for Texas, with Catalanotto shifting from LF to DH and Boggs playing LF.
   14. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:10 PM (#2931403)
I wonder if Phil will show up before the game ends.

   17. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:31 PM (#2931410)

   18. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:45 PM (#2931420)
Wake falling apart like a cheap suit.
   19. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:48 PM (#2931422)
This is ####### ugly.
   20. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:49 PM (#2931426)
Wake has nothing.
   21. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:50 PM (#2931427)
Absolutely Brutal.
   22. Marcel Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:51 PM (#2931428)
whoa, what the hell. I only left three room for like 3 minutes and I come back to this? not cool
   23. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:55 PM (#2931434)
At least we can hope for Texas' crap pitching to save us.
   24. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:59 PM (#2931444)
I don't know if I've ever seen a ball bounce like that.
   25. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 08:59 PM (#2931446)
Pedroia!
   26. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:03 PM (#2931452)

YOUK!

And we're back in it!
   28. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:04 PM (#2931455)
Beckett comes back, and rocks. Lowell comes back, and rocks. JD Drew should rock too when he comes back.
   29. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:05 PM (#2931456)
Well, everything was hit hard.
   30. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:12 PM (#2931466)
Goddamnit.
   31. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:13 PM (#2931467)
This is going to be a shoot out.
   32. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:30 PM (#2931503)

   33. Elevate Phil Coorey Later Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:46 PM (#2931525)

   34. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:46 PM (#2931526)
The Timlinator strikes again
   35. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:47 PM (#2931529)
Eh, I recommend you just go back to bed now...
   36. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:49 PM (#2931532)
I may just call it a night if they don't put up at least 1 run this inning. I'm beat.
   37. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:55 PM (#2931548)
They'll find a way to get Lowell home, just so you have to stay up...
   38. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:56 PM (#2931550)
I'm going to give it one more inning.
   39. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:56 PM (#2931551)
Unless Timlin goes and gives up another jack or three.
   40. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:58 PM (#2931553)
At least even Francona realizes that Timlin is now nothing more than a mop-up guy.
   41. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 09:59 PM (#2931556)
Timlin needs to see a Doctor about that Lump in his cheek...
   42. Dan Posted: September 06, 2008 at 10:01 PM (#2931558)
Crisp looks like he hurt his right hip or his side.

And I'm going to bed. Later guys (if anyone's still watching this shitshow).
   43. Fancy Pants Handle Posted: September 06, 2008 at 10:06 PM (#2931562)
Yeah, gonna check out the end of the Angels - White Sox and then can it myself...
   44. konaforever Posted: September 06, 2008 at 10:07 PM (#2931564)
Timlin is offically TOAST.
   45. tfbg9 Posted: September 06, 2008 at 11:54 PM (#2931633)
