At least seeing Davies and Redman back-to-back will further prompt JS to add a pitcher from inside or outside the organization...

Unassisted Triple Play!

You can go a while without seeing one of those!

That was pretty cool to see, even if it did happen against us. Was Furcal's the most recent one before today?

Someone on Braves Journal, who was listening to the post-game radio show, says Langerhans to the A's for a PTBNL. Can't find any info anywhere, so I'd file this under rumor for now...

The Braves are a strong team, but they need back of the rotation help and they need bullpen help.
   21. LatNam is busy defending freedom. Posted: April 29, 2007 at 07:27 PM (#2349657)
...and they need bullpen help.

Sometimes it really does feel like 2006.
   22. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: April 29, 2007 at 07:29 PM (#2349658)
This one is on Bobby. Wickman had nothing. He should have had Yates in there earlier. And his insane habbit of pitching every relief pitcher for one inning. Villareal and Moylan needed to eat up more innings

Langerhans to the As? Maybe more bullpen help coming I guess.

Looks official Link

I'm not so sure the Braves need bullpen help. Soriano and Gonzalez seem to be rounding into form. Yates has been looking dominant. Moylan and Villareal are more than acceptable in their roles as middlemen. OK, so Coyler isn't a great 2nd lefty.

In the minors McBride and Boyer are question marks (for different reasons), but its not out of the question that both could be contributing by the end of the season. Joey Devine is cruising in AA and should be in the bullpen at some point this year. Phil Stockman has dominated the high minors since he signed on with the Braves in 2006 and probably would be the 1st righty up in the event of ineffectiveness or injury with members of the current pen. Will Startup looks a decent LOOGY prospect who isn't too far away.

I'll give Wickman a semi-pass for the last couple games because he did generate some groundballs and wasn't really getting hammered (correct me if I'm wrong, but the Olivo double was only hard hit ball). However, the lack of command is unacceptable. Additionally, pitching in the high-atltitude with his physique isn't exactly an optimal situation. He was huffing and puffing after every pitch for a reason. Granted, if theres a problem with Wickman, Soriano, or Gonzalez the Braves would be in trouble, but if all three are healthy and perform in accordance with their track records the bullpen should be fine.

I'd really like a left fielder and starting pitcher though...
