Chicago White Sox (0-0) vs. Colorado Rockies (0-0) - 3:05 PM EST

CHW Contreras (0-0, 0.00) & Garland (0-0, 0.00)
COL Jennings (0-0, 0.00)

This is the first game of the spring between two actual major league teams I think.

It’s on XM Radio for those who have it… and MLB.tv is broadcasting it as well.

Enjoy!

Is this game on somewhere?

Contreras went 1-2-3...

Mackowiak singled

I couldn't find the Rockies' lineup, but they have Jason Jennings, Jeff Francis, Jose Mesa, Ray King, Bret Prinz, and Manuel Corpas scheduled to pitch today. Prinz might be a scratch - he's reportedly battling a flu.

0-0 after 1

Thanks for the updates, Sean.

It's weird to have baseball going on.

Home Run Rox!

No idea who though.

You misspelled G-R-E-A-T! in there.

Helton RBI double... 2-0 Rox.

HR was by Danny Ardoin.

Guy on a motorcycle just drove the by the stadium... came through crystal clear as background noise.

2-0 Sox coming up.

Francis in for the Rox.

You're right; I did.

It's raining now.

This game isnt on mlb.tv
   23. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:09 PM (#1880046)
Apparently Danny Ardoin's name is "Ard-wa". I had no idea.
   24. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:13 PM (#1880057)
I'm such a freakin' hypochondriac. The Rockies broadcast just had a really long ad for a medical study on "restless leg syndrome." I had never heard of this. Now I can't keep my legs still.
   25. Sean McNally Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:15 PM (#1880060)
It was supposed to be... stop being cheap and get XM kiddies!
   26. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:21 PM (#1880070)
I got XM and MLB Gameday Audio. So I can listen in stereo.

It's legal game now! Don't they say that nothing predicts regular season success better than the first exhibition game of the season?

Helton just got his second double in the 6th.
   27. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:26 PM (#1880080)
RBI single by Garrett Atkins. 3-0 Coloradons.
   28. Sean McNally Posted: March 01, 2006 at 05:31 PM (#1880090)
This is also Chris Singleton's first ChiSox broadcast...

His partner is busting his chops about keeping up with all the changes now.
   29. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 06:04 PM (#1880133)
Rockies pitchers have set down 19 Sox in a row. This is more shocking when you realize that Jose Mesa pitched an inning.
   30. PhillyBooster Posted: March 01, 2006 at 06:21 PM (#1880157)
Rockies win 6-1.
   31. Sean McNally Posted: March 01, 2006 at 06:29 PM (#1880172)
That's what a Proven Closerâ„¢ does though.

i predict a season of suckatitude for the sox, and i shall like it
