But isn't it possible to record many more assists in an inning? I thought if an infielder fields a ball cleanly and the first baseman drops his throw the infielder is still credited with an assist. Also, if there is a rundown, for example a 7-6-5-4-1-6-5, does the shortstop only get one assist or two?
