Why has Willie not put David in the 2hole yet? LoDuca has to come out of there soon and we need to get Wright on track, he would have to be more patient with Jose in front of him, not to mention more fastballs being sandwitched between Reyes and Beltran.

I realize he strikes out too much for the spot, but we have to get him on track and LoDuca HAS to be dropped.

Anyway, I never get first post in these chatters, so this must mean David goes deep today, right?
   2. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: April 28, 2007 at 06:01 PM (#2348584)
Being patient hasn't been Wright's problem.

But I agree, Wright 2 spot, Lo Duca somewhere else.
   3. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 06:29 PM (#2348615)
But I agree, Wright 2 spot, Lo Duca somewhere else.

Preferably the bench?
   4. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:12 PM (#2348658)
Blowduca is soooo good at making outs!
   5. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:13 PM (#2348660)
Ugh! Runner on third, less than two outs...
   6. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:13 PM (#2348661)
What is up with this team and scoring guys from third with less than 2 outs?
   7. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:14 PM (#2348663)
Damn, the game isn't on EI.
   8. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:16 PM (#2348670)
That was a clear pitch around to get to Wright.
   9. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:17 PM (#2348674)
Wright sucks.
   10. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:19 PM (#2348677)
Wright sucks.

The dark side I sense in you.
   11. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:21 PM (#2348682)
Nice play by Glavine.
   12. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:26 PM (#2348693)
The dark side I sense in you.

That's not true! That's impossible!
   13. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:26 PM (#2348694)
That's rare, a bad AB from Alou.
   14. Hey, it's what Johan uses (Matt) Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:27 PM (#2348695)
I wanna see Glavine dealing tonight.
   15. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:28 PM (#2348697)
Good job by Valentin to clear the pitcher.
   16. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:41 PM (#2348704)
The Mets had better win this game. That's all I'm saying.
   17. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 07:44 PM (#2348706)
4 walk already. Williams has nothing but I'm afraid he is going shut the Mets down.
   18. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:01 PM (#2348715)
The offense is starting to annoy me.
   19. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:03 PM (#2348717)
If the Presidents are allowed to have a footrace, sausages should be allowed to run for office.
   20. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:05 PM (#2348718)
Stache better be alright!!
   21. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:06 PM (#2348722)
Jose Valentin leaves the game with a "click in his knee."
   22. TheUFactor Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:07 PM (#2348723)
According to the MLB.com boxscore, Williams has thrown only 28 strikes in 62 pitches - don't they always say you can't be successful if you don't throw strikes? This team has had hitting counts all day and has not hit.
   23. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:12 PM (#2348724)
Zimmerman is amazing.
   24. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:13 PM (#2348725)
What a tremendous play by Zimmerman. Wow.
   25. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:14 PM (#2348726)
Like I said, Zimmerman is amazing.
   26. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:16 PM (#2348728)
What a tremendous play by Zimmerman again. On most other players the Mets have two doubles in that inning instead of it being a 1-2-3 inning.

BTW, the Mets are getting no-hit by Jerome Williams.
   27. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:24 PM (#2348733)
This has the feel of a nohitter.
   28. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:24 PM (#2348734)
This is so frustrating.
   29. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:27 PM (#2348737)
A hit!
   30. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:29 PM (#2348740)
Someone needs to tell the Mets that the Nationals aren't very good.
   31. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:33 PM (#2348741)
I thought Williams jacked that.
   32. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:34 PM (#2348743)
How much does the first base ump have on this game?
   33. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:35 PM (#2348745)
Willie seems to be pissed about this offense too. This is just about as mad as he's ever been.
   34. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:36 PM (#2348746)
Lopez was clearly out.

You know, MASN didn't show whether Reyes was safe on that play by Zimmerman. I thought that was close too.
   35. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:37 PM (#2348747)
And that play ends up costing us a run.
   36. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:38 PM (#2348749)
Ugh, You knew that was coming.
   37. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:45 PM (#2348750)
Can't believe I'm saying this, but thank goodness Jerome Williams is out of the game.
   38. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:48 PM (#2348752)
Yeah, the Mets aren't going to win the game today.
   39. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:48 PM (#2348753)
If the Mets lose back to back one run games to the Nationals, they might as well just quit playing baseball.
   40. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:50 PM (#2348754)
Haha, what Zimmerman giveth, he taketh away.
   41. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:51 PM (#2348756)
Please, use Endy as the pinch hitter.
   42. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:51 PM (#2348759)
Newhan!? Who the #### is he sleeping with?
   43. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:52 PM (#2348760)
Newhan?!?! He is horrible.
   44. Hey, it's what Johan uses (Matt) Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:53 PM (#2348762)
Yes!

And now I'll go out.
   45. CrosbyBird Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:53 PM (#2348763)
clutch RBI for Newhan!
   46. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:57 PM (#2348765)
Glad the Nationals decided to spot us a run there.
   47. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:57 PM (#2348766)
That's about as good as we could have hoped there.
   48. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 08:58 PM (#2348767)
A Heilman sighting!

Can you believe he has the least amount of innings on the team?
   49. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:05 PM (#2348772)
Oooh, I thought that was gone too.
   50. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:10 PM (#2348774)
Why not let Reyes steal then bunt Reyes to third?
   51. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:11 PM (#2348776)
I think I'm gonna freak out if Delgado or Wright don't drive in at least one run this inning.
   52. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:12 PM (#2348778)
Can you believe he has the least amount of innings on the team?

Mariano Rivera got his first save of the season today.
   53. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:14 PM (#2348779)
That bunting on the first pitch was LoDuca Dumb.
   54. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:15 PM (#2348780)
Delgado's toast. Flores pwns Reyes.

This is going very poorly.
   55. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:16 PM (#2348782)
Sorry, but Randolph just ###### that up like nobody's business.
   56. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:17 PM (#2348783)
Flores has a gun. He was helped out by the fact that it was a good pitch to throw on but it was a great throw.

This is pretty much been a painful game.
   57. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:17 PM (#2348784)
It is tough for a manager just to #### up some stuff, but damn if Willie didn't manage it there.
   58. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:20 PM (#2348786)
Of course that drops in for a hit. That's not a surprise at all.
   59. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:21 PM (#2348787)
It's a million times easier to steal second than third. You just take two pitches and let Reyes steal second, then bunt him to third.

How dumb do you have to be - then WHY steal third at all?
   60. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:22 PM (#2348789)
I have been out of the country - is Stache injured?
   61. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:23 PM (#2348790)
See post 21 Dial.
   62. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:24 PM (#2348791)
This is disgusting.

I don't have anything reasonable to say about this pitiful performance tonight.
   63. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:24 PM (#2348792)
This is a horrible loss.
   64. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:25 PM (#2348794)
Seriously, I'd fire Willie. He's ###### away a handful of games this season already.
   65. Vaux, A.B.D. Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:26 PM (#2348795)
The Nationals are going to win two from the Mets?
   66. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:27 PM (#2348796)
Guess why Heilman has the fewest innings this season?

But Schoeneweis?
   67. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:29 PM (#2348797)
The Nats might win three.
   68. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:31 PM (#2348799)
For what it's worth, Dial, Willie was thrown out of the game. He's probably still calling the shots though.
   69. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:31 PM (#2348800)
Nice job, Scot. And it looks like he hurt his shoulder on that last pitch.
   70. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:32 PM (#2348801)
I turned on the radio driving home just as Willie got tossed. THere's no doubt he's still calling the shots.
   71. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:33 PM (#2348802)
Guess why Heilman has the fewest innings this season?

Come on Dial, he's a solid setup guy. I think the reason he has had so few appearances is that he's got a tender elbow.

The Mets are losing right now because they've allowed Matt Chico and Jerome Williams to shut them down offensively. That's not Willie's fault.
   72. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:35 PM (#2348803)
Nice PA from Wright.
   73. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:35 PM (#2348804)
Come on Alou, hit one out of here.
   74. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:36 PM (#2348805)
That's not Willie's fault.

Oh, you missed the 8th inning.
   75. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:36 PM (#2348806)
Unfreakingbelievable.
   76. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:37 PM (#2348807)
Mets suck.
   77. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:38 PM (#2348808)
Pinch run with Endy.
   78. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:41 PM (#2348812)
Too bad Julio Franco's up now.
   79. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:42 PM (#2348813)
Franco sucks.
   80. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:42 PM (#2348814)
Let's go, old man!
   81. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:42 PM (#2348816)
FRANCO!!!!!!
   82. Chris Dial Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:43 PM (#2348817)
Wow, he was under the tag. Kearns is really good.
   83. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:43 PM (#2348818)
This is a horrible loss.

Not a word, Russian.
   84. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:43 PM (#2348819)
SAVED FROM THE BRINK!!!

Never should have doubted you, Franco!!
   85. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:43 PM (#2348820)
ENDY IS MAGICAL!

I think he was out.
   86. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:44 PM (#2348821)
Jeez, Fick. What the.
   87. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:44 PM (#2348822)
Are you kidding me? ####!
   88. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:45 PM (#2348823)
Jose is hitting into some really tough luck. ####.
   89. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:46 PM (#2348824)
Reyes has smoked some balls today and been robbed twice. His BABIP was like .380 so i guess he was due.

Not a word, Russian.

It's RUSSLAN, first of all. And the Mets still haven't won yet.
   90. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:47 PM (#2348825)
Your first pitch of the chat right before Reyes bats, Emad?! No wonder Fick caught that.
   91. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:48 PM (#2348827)
pitch of the chat? Sure, I'll stick with that.
   92. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:50 PM (#2348829)
No ordinary Joe, this.
   93. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:50 PM (#2348830)
It's RUSSLAN, first of all. And the Mets still haven't won yet.

Thanks, Nostradamus. I'll try to remember.

Your first pitch of the chat right before Reyes bats, Emad?! No wonder Fick caught that.

LAME.
   94. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:53 PM (#2348832)
Thanks, Nostradamus. I'll try to remember.

I want the Mets to win but I just got the feeling they are going to lose. My predictions have been off this season.
   95. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:56 PM (#2348834)
Feliciano has really struggled in the first month of the season.

Man, I can't believe the Nats were thinking of playing Logan instead of Church.
   96. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:57 PM (#2348835)
Bonds went deep again.
   97. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:57 PM (#2348836)
Well, this is fun.
   98. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:57 PM (#2348837)
Argh, Pedro
   99. Banta Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:58 PM (#2348838)
If Flores doesn't win the game, I'll be very surprised.
   100. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: April 28, 2007 at 09:58 PM (#2348839)
Flores with the game winning hit?

That'll hurt.

Rasky might hurt himself if this happens.
