Hey Guts, you're watching this game on FSMW, did you know that McClellan is leading the team in appearances for pitchers? I figured you wouldn't know that because they never mention that factoid.

g-d, this is ridiculous. Hall and Weeks is kicking our butts, and not Braun or Fielder.

Oh wait, sorry, that was totally believeable - this is the Cardinal bullpen, they won't rest until the opponent is ahead.

I think Russ Branyan needs to be resigned to coming off the bench.

Wait, McClellan is leading the team in appearences? Why didn't Dan and Al repeatedly mention and expound upon this?

even more annoying, is it was again with two outs. What is up with two outs and allowing the other team into the game. Do they relax when they get to two outs and challenge more?

Maybe they figure 2 out runs don't count.

if that was the case we would have scored about 300 less runs and allowed about 299 less.

That would hurt the pythag.

Did MLB diss ESPN and their split stats, they don't have that many anymore.
   110. NTNgod Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:37 PM (#2868948)
GAME OVER!!!

Six straight (all on the road)

Can't do worse than a series split with Looper/Sabathia and Wellemeyer/Sheets to follow.

.500 on the road now, too

ok, that was a disappointing game after the impressive start, I blame al and Dan for talking about who was going to close in the 7th inning.
   112. NTNgod Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:37 PM (#2868950)
Whoops, five straight road wins.

Jack Clark says Lohse looked like a HOFer tonight. Let's not go overboard, Jackie boy.
   117. cardsfanboy Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:41 PM (#2868960)
he said he was working like a hof, and Lohse was quite impressive for 6-7 innings, about as good as you could hope from a pitcher.
   118. cardsfanboy Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:42 PM (#2868961)
Cubs down 2-0 in the 4th.
   119. Guts Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:42 PM (#2868963)
Unfortunately, Lohse went 8.
   120. Guts Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:43 PM (#2868965)
Ok, later gentlemen - I may be absent tomorrow, but I should be back Thursday. These are all night games, right?
   121. Guts Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:44 PM (#2868966)
Yes.
   122. cardsfanboy Posted: July 22, 2008 at 10:44 PM (#2868967)
