   201. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 07, 2008 at 12:58 AM (#2771815)
That was an excellent outing for Heilman. He retired everyone but Kemp, who is a force of nature right now.
   202. Chris Dial Posted: May 07, 2008 at 12:58 AM (#2771816)
Nice job, Aaron. Get your head on straight. THis is better.
   203. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 07, 2008 at 12:59 AM (#2771817)
Who do you PH with? Beltran or Marlon? Has to be Beltran right, unless he is too sick.
   204. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:00 AM (#2771819)
Is Kuo on a pitch count? He is a starter, so that shouldn't be a problem. Though ofcourse, its Broxton replacing him. That guy looks mean
   205. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:00 AM (#2771820)
Hmm, did Torre just pull Kuo to make Beltran hit lefthanded?
   206. Chris Dial Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:01 AM (#2771821)
Beltran is hitting .205 lefty
   207. npurcell Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:02 AM (#2771822)
204

Kuo pitched 44 pitches on saturday.
   208. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:03 AM (#2771823)
Great. Here's Joba, West.
   209. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:08 AM (#2771824)
David Wright, this is ####### it, right here. Time to show us your franchise.
   210. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:08 AM (#2771825)
Please, Wright. Get a hit.
   211. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:09 AM (#2771827)
Wide zone, but still a good pitch.

crap
   212. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:10 AM (#2771828)
oh #### me. THREE STRAIGHT ####### PITCHES. SWING.
   213. Chris Dial Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:10 AM (#2771829)
To hit ball, remove bat from shoulder.
   214. haplo53 Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:10 AM (#2771830)
Wright is completely lost.
   215. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:10 AM (#2771831)
RISP, two out, and the Mets fail to get a hit.

SHOCKING!
   216. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:11 AM (#2771832)
Ahh, Wright in his early season slump. I remember what happened last year after the slump!
   217. haplo53 Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:11 AM (#2771833)
I thought that Sunday game against the Brewers was bad, but this is easily the worst loss of the year.
   218. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:13 AM (#2771835)
Why not Duaner? A lefty/righty thing?
   219. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:14 AM (#2771836)

Boo hoo! Still above 500, still no Pedro or Duque. Atleast your team is not 0-9 in 1 run games.
   220. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:15 AM (#2771837)
Base hit for who?
   221. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:16 AM (#2771838)
Thanks, Ludwig. Honestly, the fans of this team seem to have taken the "MUST WHINE" mantle from the Red Sox for the northeastern corridor.
   222. Tuque Snider is the new Gagne_55 Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:18 AM (#2771841)
Looking at this Delwyn Young feller's recent minor league stats have been highly impressive. I see no reason to think Torre a fool for having him bunt. It seems like it would have been more reasonable to let him hit and then make Pierre bunt (regardless of his month of statistically meaningless high batting average).
   223. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:18 AM (#2771842)
Why is pierre trying to hit the big breaking ball to right? Won't it be easier to hit it to left/center?
   224. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:19 AM (#2771844)
How many pitches will Andruw strike out on? I call 4..
   225. Chris Dial Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:20 AM (#2771845)
I predict a WP to score the run
   226. Dan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:21 AM (#2771847)
Was it really necessary to lift Feliciano to face a guy with a ~.500 OPS?
   227. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:21 AM (#2771848)
WOW what a pitch for the K. Totally nasty.
   228. haplo53 Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:22 AM (#2771849)
Thanks, Ludwig. Honestly, the fans of this team seem to have taken the "MUST WHINE" mantle from the Red Sox for the northeastern corridor.

A simple statement = whining? I'm not the one playing "who has it worse" with Ludwig. Come on.
   229. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:24 AM (#2771850)
I don't mean anyone specifically, haplo, my apologies. Just in general, it wears on me. I truly didn't mean to rag on any one person.

JUST ALL OF YOU. :-)

Fair enough, no worries. Hopefully the Mets can push a couple runs across to put some egg on my face.
   231. Bob Koo Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:26 AM (#2771855)
I'd pinch-hit Marlon for Pagan.
   232. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:26 AM (#2771856)
Oh brother.
   233. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:27 AM (#2771858)
I'm not the one playing "who has it worse" with Ludwig. Come on.

I wasn't playing who has it worse. Its aggravating to watch the Braves, but it is still a lot of fun.
I am just saying that a team which is doing significantly well shouldn't be constantly bemoaning their losses, which are always going to look bad. You are going to lose 50-60 games every year.
   234. haplo53 Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:29 AM (#2771859)
Man... you can't chalk it up to "it wasn't their night," because they lit up Kuroda, but still...
   235. Bob Koo Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:29 AM (#2771860)
I'd pinch hit Marlon for Schneider.
   236. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:29 AM (#2771861)
YAY Angel!

Who's up now.....

Oh dear.
   237. Bob Koo Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:29 AM (#2771862)
Hmm, I guess you have to let Castillo hit here.
   238. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:30 AM (#2771863)
I wouldn't PH Marlon for anyone at this point, he kind of completely sucks now.
   239. Bicycle RepairMan Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:30 AM (#2771864)
Pagan's hot strak is over huh. Down to the 260s I see. Still, gave the Mets a good early season fillip
   240. Chris Dial Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:30 AM (#2771866)
Argh
   241. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:31 AM (#2771867)
I'm not feeling all that great about Castillo. Prove me wrong.....

Please....
   242. Lassus Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:32 AM (#2771869)
Again - wide zone, good pitch, bat on shoulder.
   243. Bob Koo Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:32 AM (#2771870)
How do you not swing there? That is absolutely pathetic.
   244. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: May 07, 2008 at 01:32 AM (#2771871)
I smell sweep tomorrow. Feh.
