Well done, Easley.
   302. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:22 PM (#2841463)
Sac fly!
   303. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:22 PM (#2841464)
#### me, Easley? Really?

Our bullpen sucks worse than your offense.
   304. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:22 PM (#2841465)
HOW IS CASTRO NOT HITTING HERE!!! You can't rest on a one-run lead!
   305. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:22 PM (#2841466)
Castro should hit, please.
   306. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:23 PM (#2841467)
YES! Best case scenario!
   307. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:23 PM (#2841468)
That's the only way Schneider gets on. Que Suerte!
   308. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:23 PM (#2841469)
Nice job, lean in, Schneider!
   309. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:23 PM (#2841470)
Schneider finally does something useful.
   310. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:24 PM (#2841472)
You give Schneider credit there? I'd rather not.
   311. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:25 PM (#2841473)
I think we can chalk that up as a "disaster."
   312. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:25 PM (#2841474)
I'm guessing that our Francoeur is hitting here?
   313. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:26 PM (#2841476)
Seriously, Tatis?
   314. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841477)
Russlan, we have a bounty of interesting SS prospects in the low minors. Another reason why I disagree with Sam that our farm is barren.
   315. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841478)
Seriously, Tatis?

I more or less agree, but our options, they are limited.
   316. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841479)
Every announcing crew mentions Tatis hitting two GS against Park in the same inning.
   317. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841480)
You better come through you waste of sperm.

Nice swing at the curve, jackass.
   318. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841481)
Remember, we have a short bench. Only Castillo & Castro left.
   319. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:27 PM (#2841482)
Tatis, there's no rule that you have to swing at everything.
   320. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841483)
we still have nine outs for our team, but with our pen that means we need to score a minimum of 4 runs.
   321. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841484)
The breaks are falling our way!
   322. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841485)
Heh heh. Tatis. *shakes head in bewilderment(
   323. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841486)
You've got to be kidding me.
   324. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841487)
Tatis hit it just shitty enough.
   325. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841488)
Tatis!

Now Reyes can blow this open.
   326. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2841489)
Well, that was hilarious. I'll give Tatis even less credit than Schneider there.
   327. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:29 PM (#2841492)
I gotta give credit to Schneider for the HBP there. That's his strongest offensive contribution on the season.
   328. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:30 PM (#2841493)
That Reyes hit looked like a gapper, but it was total fanboyism.
   329. In what respect, Craig K? Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:30 PM (#2841494)
Ha.

Idiot Cub fan got tickets to the wrong game. :D
   330. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:30 PM (#2841495)
That was pathetic.

Well, time to score some more runs, I guess.
   331. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:30 PM (#2841497)
ARGH, so close. Jose is locked in right now. Can we bottle this?
   332. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:32 PM (#2841499)
Let's do this Heilman.
   333. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:33 PM (#2841500)
Heilman has been really good since the beginning of June. Let's see some more of that.
   334. In what respect, Craig K? Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:33 PM (#2841501)
Seigman.
   335. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:33 PM (#2841502)
Sweet, right at Beltran.
   336. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:34 PM (#2841503)
We need Aaron to be reliable.

That one makes up for the Jose lineout.
   337. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:35 PM (#2841504)
Flores had another two hits today. He isn't walking much but isn't striking out either.
   338. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:35 PM (#2841507)
Wow, right past him.
   339. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:35 PM (#2841508)
Heilman! Blowing away lefties??
   340. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:36 PM (#2841510)
You don't need to draw walks when you're destroying the ball.

Some nice movement on the heater there.
   341. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:36 PM (#2841513)
I said this early in chatter but I think the bullpen is going to be very good in the second half.
   342. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:37 PM (#2841514)
The international market is going to be more competitive in the future, given what the A's and Padres have done already. I'm glad we snatched Flores and Marte when we did.
   343. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:38 PM (#2841515)
HEILMAN!
   344. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:38 PM (#2841516)
Where's Dial for this performance?
   345. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:38 PM (#2841517)
Great job, Heilman.
   346. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:38 PM (#2841518)
Well done, Aaron.
   347. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:39 PM (#2841519)
Heilman is back. As long as we keep him away from KJ, Chipper, Utley and Howard, I'm comfortable with him.
   348. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:40 PM (#2841520)
The one I'm intrigued with is Evans. His numbers are nice, but when you consider his trajectory over the last 3 years, it's even more impressive. And looking at that frame, I think Evans has a strong power ceiling when he matures.
   349. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:41 PM (#2841521)
Hell, I'll take a rainout.
   350. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2841523)
DWRIGHT!
   351. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2841524)
Ankiel =/ Edmonds.
   352. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2841525)
DAVID ALLEN WRIGHT!!!
   353. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2841526)
Wright is locked in. Watch out, National League!
   354. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:44 PM (#2841527)
Triple!
   355. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:44 PM (#2841528)
Wheeeeeee!

Um, a few too-slow steps out of the box, there, David, on the replay, but you're forgiven.
   356. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:45 PM (#2841529)
Beltran confuses me so much sometimes.
   357. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:45 PM (#2841530)
Plblblbllblblblbb!
   358. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2841531)
Um, a few too-slow steps out of the box, there, David, on the replay, but you're forgiven.

Cohen?
   359. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2841532)
Crap.

Oh well.
   360. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2841533)
Come on Church, make this more comfortable.
   361. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2841534)
What a wasted chance.
   362. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:47 PM (#2841535)
Nice work by Perez to keep him at 3d. But offense is needed. Now would be good.
   363. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:47 PM (#2841536)
That's gonna cost them.
   364. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:47 PM (#2841537)
Um, a few too-slow steps out of the box, there, David, on the replay, but you're forgiven.

Cohen?

Heh.

Touche.
   365. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:49 PM (#2841540)
Bleep, why did you do that, Aaron?
   366. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:49 PM (#2841541)
Harbinger of DOOM.
   367. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:49 PM (#2841542)
Oy vey, Heilman.
   368. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:49 PM (#2841543)
AHAHAHAHAAHHAHAH Duncan sucks.
   369. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:49 PM (#2841544)
Carlos Jackson - hitting cleanup - just sac bunted in a 2-2 game in the 7th inning, 1st and 2nd, no outs.

Not really sure I agree with that plan.
   370. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:50 PM (#2841547)
Willie would have used Schoenweis at some point in this game. Yet another reason why I like Manuel's bullpen choices a lot more - I don't think he trusts SS.
   371. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:51 PM (#2841549)
Who's Carlos Jackson?
   372. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841550)
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
   373. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841552)
this more than barely cleared the fence
   374. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841551)
Well now.
   375. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841553)
Duncan STILL sucks. But this pleases me.
   376. Bob Koo Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841554)
Speechless...
   377. In what respect, Craig K? Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841555)
BADUNK

A DUNK
   378. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:52 PM (#2841556)
Didn't this happen in the NLCS too?
   379. AJM Misses Brodeur Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:53 PM (#2841557)
####### ############.
   380. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:53 PM (#2841559)
Whoops, Rask. Conor. AZ.
   381. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:53 PM (#2841561)
Indeed it did.
   382. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:54 PM (#2841562)
Okay, so Pedro Feliciano should never be allowed to pitch to Chris Duncan ever again.
   383. Chris Dial Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:55 PM (#2841563)
####### Beltran. Just put the ####### ball in play.
   384. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:55 PM (#2841564)
do Mets fans have Molina nightmares :)
   385. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:56 PM (#2841565)
Nice AB, Yadi.
   386. In what respect, Craig K? Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:56 PM (#2841566)
Now it's the NLCS.
   387. Raskolnikov Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:56 PM (#2841567)
Great, Pedro blows up.
   388. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:57 PM (#2841568)
Edmonds helping the Cubs cause.
   389. Chris Dial Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:57 PM (#2841570)
15 hits. Less than a run every two hits.
   390. Lassus Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:57 PM (#2841571)
Ugh. I have to be up at 6. I don't need this crap tonight.
   391. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:58 PM (#2841573)
other than Molina running, another good reason not to bunt is there pitcher is having issues.
   392. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:58 PM (#2841574)
I am also pleased to see Ryan is not bunting. Good TLR.
   393. Guts Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:59 PM (#2841575)
I recant post #392.
   394. cardsfanboy Posted: July 02, 2008 at 11:59 PM (#2841576)
I'm pretty sure Ryan was bunting for a hit.
   395. Raskolnikov Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:00 AM (#2841577)
THROW A STRIKE.
   396. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:01 AM (#2841579)
Why did Manuel take out Heilman?
   397. Guts Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:01 AM (#2841578)
That would have SUCKED.
   398. cardsfanboy Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:01 AM (#2841580)
nice effort, funny slide into the stands
   399. Chris Dial Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:01 AM (#2841581)
BTW, when I talk about overusing relievers - when you have a reliever that is getting guys out - leave him in hte ####### game. You never know if the next guy is going to have it.
   400. cardsfanboy Posted: July 03, 2008 at 12:02 AM (#2841582)
at least Molina is off the base paths.
