So now we have Carlos I, Carlos II, Pedro I, Pedro II, Reyes I and Reyes II.
Not that there's a Latino bias or anything.
SS Jose Reyes
CF Endy Chavez
3B David Wright
RF Ryan Church
1B Carlos Delgado
2B Damion Easley
LF Marlon Anderson
C Ramon Castro
RP Mike Pelfrey
Every time I start to feel a little bit good about this team, they make me pay for it.
In 70 PA, he has 5 HR, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts, while hitting .386/.413/.686.
I was thinking Savannah this year, not St. Lucie.
What were yesterday's choices? Pujols or Delgado?
Is that really even a question?
That sounds like an introduction.
I'm nobody's mom!
Of course, if Flores continues hitting like this - one of the prospects above would have to be sacrificed.
Someone reminded me of that Bobby Jones start in 2000. I forgot how amazing of a performance that was.
That macro's really getting a workout lately.
Havens is most likely going to be moved to 2B next year. And the jury is still out whether Flores can play SS or not.
I watched that '99 playoffs with 2 gay roommates I in the Castro that I had turned into baseball fans. Good times. When Rogers decided to be pathetic, one of them turned off the TV and called him "a loser ##### who would be a terrible date to any Halloween party."
Have you written the book yet?
My Dad always jokes about the book, too.
That's too long, dammit. I need a book to read now.
Oh. That makes more sense.
You're mandated one, though.
I shudder to think how much better we'd be if that trade had JUST been Church for Milledge. Not that we all wouldn't have caused an even bigger whine of misery.
Let's go, Carlos.
I haven't looked. Who's the better 3B than Wright in the NL this year?
Chipper?
SF is acceptable there, I guess.
You know, I've never had the respectful admiration for Chipper a lot of Mets have ended up with. I just find him to be annoying. But, he has been better this year so far, yes. Personally, I think Wright will end up wit the better year overall.
Chipper: 52.9 (2nd in the league)
Wright: 29.2
Ramirez: 21.9
David has more hits, more HR, more RBI, and a higher OPS so far. But 5 more errors. So I'm not so sure about A-Ram being a more deserving all-star.
