Sounds like a 500 team to me.

Did the Mets even hit a ball hard off the Philly relievers?

How the hell does Sanchez throw it down the middle on 1-2? You've got the catcher coming up next, make Victorino chase.

Oh yeah, I forgot the runs he gave up today. My bad.

The Mets just can't seem to get hot.

The Mets just arent that good

I just don't think this is the Mets year. The Phils have the luck factor going for them. Look at that bullpen. Filled with medicorities who are pitching unbelievably other than Lidge.

You know, I don't really believe in "chemistry" as a requirement to success for a baseball team.

The MEts have very good players - tops at their positions - Beltran, Wright, Reyes - even Church so far. Santana, Wagner, Sanchez. And yet - we can't win. It's annoying.

If you can't win a Santana-Happ matchup, it's time to give it up.

I still feel strongly that Delgado needs to be platooned. He did get a key hit against Mulder, but he's brutal in general against lefties.

Aguila looks pretty crappy defensively, huh?

Santana's next matchup is against Lincecum. Yikes.

#### Santana. Hang a changeup to Burrell and you get what you deserve.

He's not perfect but no one is. You can't score 2 runs and expect to win even with him on the mound.

Granted, he's getting zero run support. But a great pitcher should win from time to time in spite of those circumstances.

All bullpens are filled with mediocrities; the Phillies is better than most. Madson is every bit as good as Sanchez and he's at best the 4th best RP the Phillies have. Romero is near perfect as a LOOGY. Gordon has a blowup a month, but still brings it 90% of the time. Durbin has been lucky, but he also has 29 Ks in his last 29 IP. COndrey and Seanez pitch only in low leverage situations unless Manuel doesn't have a choice.

Phillies have a huge advantage in the bullpen and, remarkably, their starting pitching has been better than the Mets this year.
