I guess they thought that Myers would be a better decoy.

This loss isn't the end of the world. One game back with 30 left. No big deal.

Sure. Provided they win tomorrow.

Now, if Santana spits the bit, its over.

Good thing we don't have Bonds.

God almighty, still?

Maybe Charlie trusted Myers more to follow his "DO NOT SWING" instructions? Or, more likely, SS had to at least pitch as if Myers MIGHT swing, whereas SS could have simply grooved 3 fastballs to Seanez and he wouldn't have made contact even if swinging... In other words, Myers had a better chance of working a walk without swinging than Seanez did.

I am confident the Mets will win tomorrow.

As am I. But I was also confident the Mets wouldn't get swept in a four ####### game ####### series last August.

So...

Half game.

I hate your team, but I have to respect your groove, HCO.

^^^The ####### is right. No matter how brutal a loss this may be. Its still only one loss.

Unless of course, it destroys the Mets confidence and the season snowballs into oblivion.

You know, if the Mets win the division, it will be the least enjoyable division winning season ever. There's no contest, even. But if they don't, and the Phillies do, it will be a million times worse.

One game back in the loss column, Lassus.

The Mets have had like 6 or 7 brutal losses this season already. One more ain't going to break them.

This is absolutely true btw.

The Mets have a HUGE positive run differential in the first three innings. Seriously, it's like +110-120 which I think is 50 runs better than anyone else.

The Mets score early and often, their starting pitching is solid, especially first time through, and the bullpen is just awful. The Mets typically get ahead and spend the rest of the game holding on for dear life.

Also, the Mets don't seem to score much late in games.

I would also like to state for the record that I find walking TWO guys to load the bases with one out to be a terrible idea.

^^^Which is another way of saying, "They're a bunch of chokers."
