What was up with that blonde in the black top they kept focusing on until she took her bra off? She was probably about the 10,000th hottest woman in the ballpark that day.
Not making any predictions, just sayin'. And this, of course, is contingent on the Cubs hitting Davis a lot better than they have in the past. Apparently Davis's career ERA against the Cubs is 3.39--I'm surprised it's that high.
What's a good excuse to call in and take a half day - without revealing the real reason... or have I already blown my cover by calling homeland security and reporting overhearing strange conversations and smelling anthrax coming from the desks of my colleagues that are White Sox fans?
"Lou Pinella has had some success coming back after losing the first game of a series"
I was waiting on a meaningless, ridiculous sample size stat I could hang my hopes on.
I'll take ignite. Unfreeze. Show a pulse. Exist.
He's not much of a competitor, at least, not compared to other athletes. He's very good - there's no one better at his craft, but he doesn't really have that competitive fire you often see.
Ahh, the wonders of the internet and television...
I guess you've never been to a game at Wrigley then.
SOTO!!!
...and still down before my online advice to Geo and Ted can do any good.
BTW, what's with the extra light turnout?
Without 2 DPs, this could be a lot worse.
Been down? That explains it.
The light turnout. Not Lilly sucking though.
Soto's having a good game so far.
move up on the plate
sweet play by Drew
1) the Cubbies being absolute dog #### in Arizona, even during the DBacks' low years
2) the Cubs having no clue how to hit lefties
I hate to think that their season may hinge on Saturday's outcome, but they look absolutely clueless right now.
When Augie F Ojeda has more hits than Soriano, Lee, and Ramirez combined, you know you are in trouble.
The Cubs collect utility MI like Chris Truby collects pentagrams and the one they let go along time ago picks now to become a royal PAI.
I really hate being a Cubs fan sometimes.
I thought it was already at that point when it was 4-2 given how the Cub offense has looked like a god damn tee-ball team tonight.
I may soon have to add teh DBacks to a list that already includes the Padres, Mets, Cardinals, Braves, Giants, and Marlins.
Meh. I figured .500 this year would be a success. Playoffs was a huge bonus. While it may suck to lose to a team which allowed more runs than they scored, I can't muster too much outrage over an 85 win team going nowhere.
Anyone else getting 2003 NLCS deja vu? Pesky little hitters who will not die and then getting key hits?
Oh yeah - the Astros, too.
get
some
runs
(just kidding of course - mostly)
I wouldn't either, but these things have a way of changing midstream.
Including maybe even this game.
Or a game 4 for that matter.
Kidding!!
Where's our naked optimist?
That's been the problem... no on one in front of 0 for the series Lee and Rameriz.
Yes. he had a long hard look at that hit off the wall.
And now he should be on 3rd with 1 out.
Damn it, Theriot.
You know what PBS DVD I've watched multiple times for some reason?
The Donner Party.
I'm starting wonder if the Cubs got lost in the Wasatch Mountains on their way to Arizona
Yeah Dick. Generally, when you take 45 seconds to get to first, you have little chance at a double.
The Donner Party.
Bet that'd be interesting.
Just put on disc 1 of "Chicago: City of Century--American Experience."
