Three bags!
   5. Danny Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:15 PM (#2761942)
Wow. That won't happen again.
   6. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:15 PM (#2761943)
Frank!
   7. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:17 PM (#2761944)
Emil is 2nd in the AL in RBIs.
   8. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:17 PM (#2761945)
Not for long.
   9. Srul Itza Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:25 PM (#2761950)
I see where Frank Thomas got a triple -- to right -- off Vlad.

I am trying to picture what happened, and the only thing I can think is that Vlad leaped to get it, mis-timed it, and fell into the stands, while the ball caromed away. The other fielders were then laughing so hard, Frank had time to get to third.

How close am I?
   10. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:27 PM (#2761951)
If you want him to chase, might not want to start the slider two feet off the plate.
   11. Dan Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:30 PM (#2761955)
How did Frank get a triple, exactly?
   12. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:31 PM (#2761957)
High fly that fell just inside the line and just out of Guerrero's reach, and it got by him.
   13. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:32 PM (#2761958)
It actually bounced in front of him but he was running so hard he overran it and it went by him. Frank put it into overdrive not seen since he was zooming by strong safeties in pre-conference games in college. He was held at third much to the relief of the catcher.
   14. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:38 PM (#2761960)
Ahem. Strikes, Chadwick.
   15. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:41 PM (#2761964)
That includes to first base.
   16. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:42 PM (#2761965)
Un-fecking-believable.
   17. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:42 PM (#2761966)
What'd they pull the infield in for in the second inning?
   18. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:44 PM (#2761970)
Geren must be managing by his gut.
   19. Srul Itza Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:46 PM (#2761973)

Lordy, I hope that is in the highlights. This is his first triple since 2002, and only his second since 1998.
   20. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:48 PM (#2761976)
How could it not be?
   21. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:52 PM (#2761981)
Wahahaha!
   22. Danny Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:52 PM (#2761982)
Daric sez, "Who's the DH with no power now, BA?"
   23. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:52 PM (#2761983)
Daric Barton, ladies and gentlemen.
   24. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:56 PM (#2761988)
Atlanta Hawks, holy ####### crap.
   25. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 10:57 PM (#2761991)
Frank has 32 career SBs, 3 in 2002.
   26. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:02 PM (#2761995)
I like that Cust is remaining patient despite his horrible BA
   27. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:13 PM (#2762007)
"Wow" is right.
   28. Danny Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:14 PM (#2762008)
At least Hudler laughed about how bad strike 3 to Sweeney was before he credited it to Napoli.
   29. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:19 PM (#2762011)
Death to can't-hold-a-runner Chad.
   30. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:21 PM (#2762013)
Second base is dirt cheap, and there's money to burn. I await his extension.
   31. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:22 PM (#2762015)
Sweeney needs to work on his take-chargeness.
   32. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:25 PM (#2762017)
Frank would have had a triple
   33. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:28 PM (#2762020)
Petards, and whatnot.
   34. Danny Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:37 PM (#2762023)
Damn, Napoli really is the new Tettleton.
   35. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:40 PM (#2762025)
What the hell is Hudler talking about?
   36. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:41 PM (#2762026)
Which part?
   37. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2762027)
Any of it. He seems to be rambling randomly after a few.
   38. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:43 PM (#2762028)
Oh, thank god.
   39. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 28, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2762033)
Think outside the park!
   40. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:02 AM (#2762043)
1-2 looked better than the 2-2.
   41. BourbonSamurai Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:05 AM (#2762044)
So...frank is hitting triples? God forget I have a busy week, all kinds of crazy things go down...
   42. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:05 AM (#2762045)
May 22, 2006. It's where it all began, and so it begins again.
   43. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:08 AM (#2762047)
Barring an out on the basepaths, Frank's spot is guaranteed to come up again. Bad move.
   44. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:08 AM (#2762048)
See, he could've jogged home.
   45. Dan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:11 AM (#2762049)
Emil Brown now has 24 RBIs...
   46. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:24 AM (#2762056)
Feh. Should be Frank.
   47. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:27 AM (#2762059)
Greg predicted he wouldn't be 2nd for long.
   48. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:27 AM (#2762060)
I think Braden can hold this lead.
   49. Dan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:27 AM (#2762061)
That inning was not expected.
   50. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:27 AM (#2762062)
Hey, Hamilton's still got his nose in front.
   51. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:32 AM (#2762066)
Only because they pitched around Emil with the bases loaded.
   52. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:33 AM (#2762067)
Brown! I was hoping for Braden's 3 inning save.
   53. Dan Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:37 AM (#2762069)
Hmm, I had forgotten that Brown was traded for Milton Bradley twice.
   54. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:37 AM (#2762070)
Don't walk him. Throw strikes and live with the 30% chance of a broken-bat dink over Crosby's head.
   55. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:38 AM (#2762071)
Or walk him and do that. Whatever.
   56. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 12:54 AM (#2762076)
Rogowski pinch ran for Carlos on his second PA for the River Cats. Is Carlos OK?
   57. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 01:01 AM (#2762079)
They got confused and lifted him when this game got out of hand.
   58. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 01:01 AM (#2762081)
Or, more realistically, he's been afflicted with the Curse at Fremont.
   59. Ivan Grushenko of HK in St Louis Posted: April 29, 2008 at 01:04 AM (#2762083)
Yea. A win.
   60. Greg Maddux School of Reflexive Profanity Posted: April 29, 2008 at 01:05 AM (#2762082)
A few more of these and I'll never have to see the stupid 'X of the past Y games between the A's and Ducks have been decided by 1 or 2 runs' again.
