That was an impressive homer by Zimmerman to tie the game. Staightaway centerfield.

The kids call him Zim!

And now Yahoo! just died. What the dilly, yo?

Wow, Greg Golson is one ugly dude.

Come on, Belliard. A SF would do.

That's better.

BELLY LARD!

Hanrahan will come in to close.

.238 BAA my foot. Regression to the mean, biotch!

I feel your pain Phillie Phans. This happened a lot to the Mets last September.
   10. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:23 PM (#2928418)
I don't. As far as i'm concerned, its poetic justice.

For ####'s sake, J.C. Romero has a .188 BAA with shitty peripherals. This "great pen" is the greatest fraud of all-time.
   11. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:24 PM (#2928420)
WOO HOO! GUZMAN!!!

Where the #### was Lidge in this inning?
   12. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:26 PM (#2928424)
Condrey has a 1.54 WHIP and a 3.47 ERA. Hi-larious.
   13. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:28 PM (#2928430)
Lidge has a good, not great, ERA in non-save situations this year. It's a small sample but some managers don't like using their closer like that.
   14. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:31 PM (#2928435)
The Phillies never go quietly.
   15. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:33 PM (#2928441)
Oh, I understand Lidge has sucked in non-save situations.

But this is pretty much a must win for the Phillies. If you don't use Lidge in this game in the eighth, you should NEVER, EVER, EVER use him in the eighth.

Victorino is a pest.

"C. Utley hit sacrifice fly to deep right"

Was it really that deep?
   17. Dan Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:37 PM (#2928452)
Considering that Dukes crashed into the wall after making a jumping catch, I would say yes.
   18. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:37 PM (#2928454)
THREE GAMES! BOO-YAH!
   19. Russlan is an overhyped Met BTFer Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:38 PM (#2928456)
It was right to the wall.

The Nats do the Mets a huge favor. The Mets picked up 2 games the last threee days when you'd think they'd lose ground. Just huge.
   20. Anthropophagus Mets Posted: September 03, 2008 at 10:41 PM (#2928463)
Especially since I don't like the pitching matchups at ALL. I'll be happy if the Mets take one of three.
   21. ColonelTom Posted: September 03, 2008 at 11:44 PM (#2928517)
Is that boxscore right? Eric Bruntlett started in right field? Are you f*ckin' kidding me?
