The boos for Gagne have been LOUD from the moment he stepped on the mound, and they got even louder when he coughed up a game-tying HR to Giles. Wow.

How were they when he followed that up by allowing a double to Luis Rodriguez?
   3. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:28 PM (#2930848)
Probably in the top 10 for volume at Miller Park

(I just have the game on one of the smaller screens in MLB.tv Mosaic with the Zona-LA game on the bigger screen with the sound)

Ned Yost's insistence to make Gagne his set-up guy, despite all the evidence that he'd be a damn fool to do so, might be the only thing that helps offset the Cubs' no-win September.

Prince Bucknered the third out of the ninth. Christ.
   7. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:46 PM (#2930876)
Whew.
   8. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:51 PM (#2930884)
Bell can't find the strike zone.
   9. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:53 PM (#2930888)
Brewers are going to win this game in the 9th.
   10. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:57 PM (#2930893)
Damn. Shortstop bobbled it, but was still able to end the inning.

Extras!
   11. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 10:58 PM (#2930894)
Oh man, I thought that was it for sure
   12. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:04 PM (#2930898)

   13. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:17 PM (#2930905)

   14. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:20 PM (#2930906)
Ouch.
   15. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:21 PM (#2930907)

   16. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:24 PM (#2930909)
start brewin the coffee!
   17. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:30 PM (#2930913)
Even if the Brewers win, Gagne's already compromised the bullpen. Torres is probably unavailable tomorrow and now both teams are burning through pitchers in extras.
   18. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:32 PM (#2930914)
So what are the odds the Padres will be 0-17 with RISP tonight?
   19. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:32 PM (#2930915)
I gotta imagine they get the run in.
   20. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:34 PM (#2930917)
DP!!! Holy ####
   21. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:35 PM (#2930918)
I guess they were pretty good.
   22. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:35 PM (#2930919)
Well, of course. It seems like both teams have had can't-miss opportunities in every inning since Gagne blew the lead.
   23. Dan Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:36 PM (#2930920)
Took balls to go for the DP there instead of cutting down the running heading to the plate.
   24. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:39 PM (#2930922)
game over
   25. McCoy Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:39 PM (#2930923)
That was a close out
   26. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:40 PM (#2930924)
I doubt they get to a 12th inning. Padres were lucky to get out of the 11th.
   27. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:45 PM (#2930926)
Cardinals blew it in the 9th and lost in extras? Wretched week in the NL Central (unless you're Houston).
   28. NTNgod Posted: September 05, 2008 at 11:46 PM (#2930927)
