Yea!!! Jason Motte made the call up. Same with Kinney. And to a lesser extent Brendan Ryan.

Boo to Jimenez.

Don't care either way about Flores, Anderson is ok, allows us to pinch run for Molina once in a while.

Mather with a broken bone in his left hand.

To the best of my knowledge, Rasmus or Freese hasn't been called up. (kinda surprising) no Rico Washington either?

I personally would have Ludwick batting fourth and Ankiel fifth, but beyond that I like that Glaus is batting second, the spot where people go to get good pitches.

Albert is up by .005 .363 to .358 (Chipper is scratched tonight)

I do not hate the Lopez acquisition, I knee-jerk reacted negatively when we got him, but within one day and looking it over I think I liked it, and think he could help the team next year, drawback is that Kennedy is on the hook for one more year, and hopefully the Cardinals aren't considering re-signing Izturis.

Ok, anybody know a story about Ken Reitz getting drunk at the airport before 1980? I'm reading one of my baseball books from 1980 and it mentions ken reitz did his most damage at the airport bar after a few too many beers.

batting in front of Albert cures all ails.

looks like another homerun derby night. Yadier with a 13 game hitting streak (people doubted me when I kept saying he is still improving) and a well hit homerun. How many hrs do we allow to the Dbacks?

Lopez with a homerun, Molina and Lopez both have hit homeruns in both games so far this series.

I imagine Motte will pitch tonite, but with the way Wainwright looks so far, I don't think the game will be close.

Houston is winning against the Cubs. To be honest, I'm rooting for the Cubs. Houston has been too hot, and we have less than a 2% chance of catching the Cubs.

Shield season premiere is tonite, it's going to be tough not watching it or flipping channels.

Molina bunts to ge on base, bad play by the pitcher.

Wainwright with a bases loaded double to help his own cause and take a solid lead.

Carpenter is in the game.
