The “Fans in Baltimore and Tampa Should Riot” Chatter

Thank you MLB central scheduling for making sure that the Orioles and Devil Rays both are traveling on this federal holiday. Morons.

Thank MLB central and ESPN for somehow not letting ESPN televise any games today. WTF? ESPN usually is end to end baseball from 10 to 10 and there's NOTHING today! ?!?!?!?!

Poker and paintball. Mmm.

I actually am pretty annoyed. My job prevents me from watching weekday games, and I've been travelling the last few days, so I was looking forward to watching a game today.

Unfortunately me and the other 11 O's/Rays fans would put on a pretty pathetic riot, so I guess I'll just go see that X-men movie.

I believe they had some NCAA/French Open obligations - but that is absurd.

thank god bonds hit his 715th (or maybe that should read, "balco's 225th" or something) yesterday, else espn might feel obligated to break into tiddlywinks or the soapbox derby or old maid or whatever bullcrap they're televising, & show footage of the blast.

i swear, one good thing (there are, god knows, many) about no longer having cable is that i presumably am contributing not one fraction of a cent to the care & feeding of that amazingly inept bunch of whores.

They're showing paintball right now, and if they honestly put lacrosse over baseball they're idiots.

They have the lacrosse championships every Memorial Day, and it never keeps them from showing baseball.

The MLB scheduling could really use some work.

The Royals got to fly from New York to Oakland on their road trip.

It's like the NCAA tournament setup, only stupider

Tampa has fans?

The sad thing is that, in Baltimore, college lacrosse might draw ratings not too far below that of an O's game. Possibly higher (except that JHU is out of the running.) This has got to be the only place anywhere that there are entire stores in strip malls that sell nothing but lacrosse gear. Before I moved to Charm City, I'd have thought that was one step above Spatula City in terms of odd niche marketing.

I don't mind a Memorial Day that doesn't include another O's embarassment of a game. But does this mean we are less significant than the Royals? That was all we had left.

Meh, right now the Royals only exist as schedule filler.
