My dad: "Wang's pitching. That means A-Rod is good for at least one error."

He'll turn it around eventually. Right guys? Right?

Maybe ARod is giggling at the name too much to do his job (Jetes, didja hear him say 'Wang' over the loudspeaker again? *titter*). I bet if they stared called Wang something like Jones he'd settle down right away.

Man do I need this game. A double header will be pretty perfect today, let's hope the weather lets them get it in.

I am really mad. I went and bought tickets for last night's game and, by the time I got back from the stadium, they had called the game off. And now I have to work today. Crumbums.

Alex Gomez? One wonders what Marcus Thames has to do to get to play...

Not that I'm complaining, of course...

Randy Johnson has made that true for the last 16 months.

Thames has struggled for the past month, which is why they have been benching him. Recently he's been hitting better I think.

I owe JRE a Coke.

I thought about mentioning Carl Pavano. Johnson has at least provided a few bright spots here and there. Jaret Wright is overpaid and awful, too.

As a non-Yankee fan, I feel confident when I say that if the Yankees have any problems, Alex Rodriguez is not one of them.

Dion James was awesome in 93, but he killed them down the stretch in 1995, and in the postseason. "Mr. I am a crazy freak who does not want to win a postseason series" refused to play Strawberry.

He was 1 for 12 in the ALDS, but Straw only had 2 PH appearances.

Hey Buck! #### OFF!

True, but surely whoever the Tigers have in AAA is better than Neifi Perez, right? Or at least comparable.

Almost certainly. But Neifi is a good glove and you know what you are getting. I can understanding wanting that certainty, especially in the current position of the Tigers. But use that for the bench. Infanti is younger and may be a better hitter. At worst, he looks to hit like Nefi. I would take that risk.

That's what I don't get. Infante has hit pretty well this year. Perez hasn't hit well since he left Coors field.

Montana. Good story actually. They have former Iowa City prep standout Greg Coleman starting at running back. He was set to go to Iowa until he got drunk and beat up a cop in high school. He landed at Iowa State, helped them beat us last year, and then got kicked off the team this spring for beating somebody up in an Ames bar. Now he's inexplicably at Montana, who is inexplicably on our schedule. I'm looking forward to his continued beating.

I think Michigan's the best team in the league this year. It's the Lloyd Carr factor that a)keeps me from putting money on them (specifically against Notre Dame) and b) gives me hope for Iowa vs. Michigan.

Lloyd Carr blows at least one game for his team every year.

When I was buying tickets yesterday, there were some people in the next line over with Taiwanese flags.

When I saw Wang pitch at Fenway a couple of weeks back, the Sox had comped the 2 back rows of an infield grandstand section we stood behind to the Taiwanese national network, who had given the tickets away to Taiwanese students at Boston colleges. They were, shall we say, enthusiastic, and my friend and I got on Taiwanese TV.

Eh...I dunno. Michigan was #### last year (the terrible ouput to the draft just emphasized the point), and Notre Dame was, perhaps, the most overrated team in the country. The only great team that OSU played last year beat 'em-though, granted, that was a exceedingly great team.

Personally, I think OSU is way overrated this year, but the Big Ten as a whole is down. So who knows what will happen? Tough schedule for OSU, though.
