My TV says that Tennis is going to be on at 4:00 on ESPN 2, but various other sources are saying otherwise.
MLB.TV => NCAA.Basketball.TV!
That's purely by accident, right?
That being said, any of these teams can get lucky and beat any of the other teams in a single game.
O, wait, the game hasn't even started.
O well.
But anyway.....
USA! USA! USA!
What happens if it rains?
Crap, then Ichiro hits a Homer...
Crud. Crud. Crud.
C'mon Peavy....
Rain of fire. Rain of fire.
Damn straight. Gold-plated diapers, too.
Because Buck Martinez is a ####### tard.
Ty Cobb could've hit homers if he wanted to.
I remember reading a story once that during a visit by the Yankees to Tiger Stadium, Ty Cobb told the media that he would outhomer Ruth during the series.
Cobb choked up a bit, and hit 4 HRs, including 3 in a game. Ruth hit 1.
I meant in the semi-final, sorry I was pretty ambiguous in my post.
#30 right on. I mean all those librarians are in prison in the US.
While I appreciate the sentiment of this post, wasn't this one of the provisions of the Patriot Act?
It all relates to the societal constructs of "librarian" and how our innate judgements compel us to subconciously put them into prison.
He hates the postseason?
I AM SHOCKED.
Gold Glove for Derek Jeter!
please...
Yep. Granted, I think this setup was used to type to maximize attendance and enthusiasm at specific games -- Asian/NorthAmerican countries on the West Coast and Carribean/South American countries in Puerto Rico -- but facing the same team from the first round pool is just silly. Plus, there is no real advantage to winning your pool (well, you get two "home" games to one "away", but I think that isn't that great).
How about the four #1 seeds simply play the four #2 seeds and the top four teams simply advance? At the very least, it should have been pools like the #1 teams form Pool A and B plus the #2 teams from Pool C and D.
Ok, maybe I'm wrong. I wasn't implying that we were rounding individual citizens who tried to keep books in their own homes to resist the removal of certain book from state libraries. Obviously that's a terrible abuse of human rights.
I was referring to the governments threat to lock up librarians if they refused to turn over records of what their patrons were checking out. Not as atrocious, but still a pretty deep attack on civil liberties.
There were reports of snow in SoCal this morning, but I'm sure it's warmed up a little by now.
On the other hand, it's certainly snowing where I am. Which is not particularly close to Anahiem.
How is that an attack on civil liberties? To be an attack on civil liberties, wouldn't they need to lock up people based upon what books they checked out?
Isn't Ogasawara one of the top hitters as well?
It's snowing here in England too. Not especially close to Anaheim either.
It's really cold here in SoCal. It was snowing around Palmdale the last two days.
Out-standing.
How is that an attack on civil liberties? To be an attack on civil liberties, wouldn't they need to lock up people based upon what books they checked out?
No, that would be a different attack on civil liberties. There's not only one way. Locking up librarians because they won't help the government monitor citizens' reading habits would be another way.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Wow. Just, wow.
I don't know what you think it means, but I was guessing that it was someone related to John Wayne Bobbitt.
Yes.
And Lee was the tallest batting champ I could find, but I only went back a couple of decades. Next tallest was Willie Wilson, who batted .332 in 1982. He was six-three, two inches shorter than Lee.
*Librarians, and lots and lots of other people, get locked up all the time in Cuba.
*#30 was kidding. I think.
*Why the hell isn't this game on (English-language) TV? Yes, I know there's college basketball they have to cover, but doesn't ESPN have about twenty channels they can put this game on?
*Never thought I'd be rooting for Jeter...
