Offensive offense summed up in one number

We all know how terrible the Cubs’ offense has been.  They are near the bottom in so many offensive categories it is hard to keep track.  Still, I was surprised to see that BPro has the team EQA at .234 - that is twelve points below the next worst club, the Pirates.  On the bright side, our Cubbies have scored two more runs than expected - who said they aren’t overachieiving!

Also, for those who missed it, dJf in the comments yesterday mentioned Baker’s forlorn statements in Mike Kiley’s column yesterday.  The column itself is scathing - do you think the press clique is retaliating a bit for the MacPhail/Hendry tag-team’s recent phone escapades?
