These are some threads where the Kid was analyzed:

If you know of any more, please let me know.

Best player on the All-U.S.-Currency Team...

But only second best on the All Investment Vehicles Team (after Barry Bonds).

Too bad the Kid never played for Buffalo, then he'd have been a Buffalo Nichols.

I guess the tables I was posting didn't survive some format change somewhere in the history of the site. Most of the posts I mad in that 1911 discussion thread have essentially disappeared. In some cases, I wish I could remember what I said.

Some of those threads have been updated as best as possible, while others still need to be. Another thing I need to work on...

Doesn't have much to do with anything, but can anyone tell me what the insignia on Kid Nichols' Hall of Fame cap means? He's listed in various reference sources as being in the HOF as a Boston Beaneater and St. Louis Cardinal, but he doesn't have a letter on his cap, just a symbol.

If anyone cares about this, I also would like to know what in the hell kind of cap Herb Pennock is wearing. It looks like it says "E."

I don't see it clearly on the images of the plaque at the NBHOFM website or at the auction of his autographed postcard.

I'll try to find a better image--it is pretty unclear.
