AROM was born in the state of New York, and the first player he followed was Reggie Jackson.  In 1982, he followed him to the California Angels, and has remained a fan of the team ever since (aside from a painful 1991 season when he rooted for the Rangers, to spite the Halos for the sin of releasing Brian Downing).

AROM currently lives in the DC-Baltimore area, roots for his team once or twice a year in Camden Yards.  He continues to run an APBA league with fictional players, and lives vicariously through his 6 year old star feline center fielder, Brian Downing Kaat.

Past his prime at age 36, he no longer plays hardball, but finished among the HR and RBI leaders of the Tennisball league.
