AROM was born in the state of New York, and the first player he followed was Reggie Jackson.  In 1982, he followed him to the California Angels, and has remained a fan of the team ever since (aside from a painful 1991 season when he rooted for the Rangers, to spite the Halos for the sin of releasing Brian Downing).

AROM currently lives in the DC-Baltimore area, roots for his team once or twice a year in Camden Yards.  He continues to run an APBA league with fictional players, and lives vicariously through his 8 year old star feline center fielder, Brian Downing Kaat.

Past his prime at age 38, he is retired from competitive sports.
