Born in Portland, but grew up in the Bay Area watching the Finley A’s and thought all baseball stadiums had rabbits at homeplate, and that yellow baseball’s and white shoes would be the norm. Since returning to Portland, I have been directly involved in the MLB to Portland effort and serve as the Information Director of the Oregon Stadium Campaign. Created the proposed Charter Seat Lisence program for the submssion to MLB, as well as extensive research in the submission to the League. I serve as the Co-Chair of SABR’s Business of Baseball committee, and run http://www.businessofbaseball.com. Also am a columnist for The Hardball Times. I research the business of baseball daily and report on it. |
