I was born in Wausau WI and have lived in the Milwaukee area for most of my life. I became a baseball fan during the Bambi’s Bombers and Harvey Wallbanger’s era of the Milwaukee Brewers. They almost won it all when I was 7. Gorman Thomas and Rollie Fingers were my favorites. I alos rooted for the Cubs until they were in the same league. I needed an AL team to root for and my long-time hatred for the Yankees led me to the Boston Redsox. I now consider myself more a Redsox fan than Brewer’s fan and, if they ever play in the WS(I suppose it could happen once the Seligs are run out of town), I would root for the Sox. I watch about 3/4 of the the Sox games every year(Thank you MLB Extra Innings) and I go to about 5 or 6 Brewer’s games and watch here and there on TV. I’m also a rabid GB Packer fan. Since my marriage on Oct 26, 2002(yes I missed Game 6 when the Angels came back from 5 runs down-I’m still waiting for ESPN Classic to replay it), I’ve given up on Basketball and Hockey(I can only torture my wife with so much sports). I trade Mutual Funds for a living and my wife is a radio producer. We’ve no plans for children. We need the money for all the trips to Europe and Australia(my wife’s plan) and to see a game in every MLB park(my plan) over the next decade or so. Maybe whe nwe’re 40 ,we’ll think about having a kid, but not before then.
