The Rangers have assigned P Brian Shouse to Oklahoma on a rehab assignment.

Something I just found out recently: Rehabbing major leaguers do not count against minor league roster limits.

What are the roster limits in the minors? I believe its 24 at AAA and AA, is it the same for the lower levels?

Also, do guys in "extended spring training" have to be on a minor league roster at all?

Cole Hamels is headed to Scranton, and he'll make his AAA debut Thursday. Allen Davis was sent back to Reading to make room for Hamels on the roster.
