Alan Horne started yesterday.

Burlington and SW Michigan played early today! Bees win 8-1 with Royals 2005 2nd round pick Chris Nicoll pitching 5 2/3 innings with just two hits and one run. He now has a 1.80 ERA with 15 ks in 10 innings in two starts. I would guess he'll move through the system rather quickly.

Tampa's Web site sucks. Make that Jeff Marquez.

Mikey catches a break tonight. Chattanooga/Carolina postponed; they play two tomorrow. It's not raining right now, but it's not exactly good baseball weather, either. I'd much rather be here in my nice warm office than sitting out there in those cold damp seats.

Delmon Young got tossed tonight in the first inning for arguing a called third strike.

And B.J. Upton was picked off *twice* by Jon Lester.

Lester's on a pitch count. He was lifted for Cla Meredith in the fourth tonight, 59 pitches in. He's thrown only 11 2/3 innings in four starts.

Gio Gonzalez with yet another nice performance tonight. In four starts, he's sporting a 1.48 ERA with 28 Ks and 8 BBs in 24.1 IP.
