The National Association rules prohibit him from playing in any other affiliated league. I suppose he could be called up to the majors and play, but the Devil Rays won't do that.

I was at the Syracuse Buffalo game today. Sabathia was pretty good, Fernando Cabrera looked rusty, Franklin Gutierrez looked good, Andy Marte was confused. Marte might have just had a bad day but after McGowan struck him out on a 3-2 curveball he was shaking his head and looking to the heavens.

For the Chiefs Rosario had a bad day, his control was poor and he wasn't able to put any of the hitters away. McGowan was also not at his best, he was missing away with his fastball.

Fridays game has Josh Banks and Jeremy Sowers.

Game 2 of the Chattanooga/Carolina DH last night was suspended in the bottom of the fourth due to fog (and it was pretty bad). Earlier we'd had part of a light bank go out.

Of course, when the umpires went out to check the visibility in the OF, some fan yelled "Why are you asking the umpires to check? They can't see anyway."
