Mudcats got Rex back, after a possible delay at the airport that kept him from being inserted into the game Saturday. But, great to see him back.

And they released Tucker. Not happy about that.

Already got that in the weekend transactions. He didn't play badly at Albuquerque, although after his first game he struggled with the bat, but with Kinkade back from personal leave and Stokes healthy they had no room for him on the 'Topes roster.

And they released Tucker. Not happy about that.

I understand it - he's 26 and he's never going to hit much - but I don't know why they picked him and not Athas. There's not a dime's worth of difference between them (except that Athas can play SS and Tucker really can't).

By the way, if you're out at Five County this week, stop by section 210 and say howdy. Row B. I'm hard to miss - just look for the guy with the scorebook yelling smart-alecky things at the scab replacement umpires.

The Lakewood/Delmarva game is cancelled, as apparently the club doesn't want to risk driving its players two hours when there's a 30% (gasp!) chance of rain. This officially ranks among the stupidest rainouts in baseball history.

Jared Lansford threw a strange no-hitter yesterday: 7 IP, 2 K, 5 BB, 1 HBP.

BTW, the RedHawk pitcher is Edinson Volquez. He corrected the Edison misspelling this year.

Zach Miner gets his shot at the Braves.

I was wondering about the different spellings. thanks for clearing that up.

Tagg Bozied is starting for Norfolk tonight - he's 2 for 3 thus far.

Thanks. I've seen both spellings this year, even in official releases from the RedHawks, and I didn't want to confuse anyone who might be wondering.
