Jose Tabata: 1 for 3, 1 HR, and 1 BB. .345/.397/.542 with an 80% contact rate as a 17-year old in A ball. I would like to bear Mr. Tabata's children someday.

Hughes had a poor start yesterday. 4 walks and a WP in 5 innings as well as a HRA. Was still striking out guys (5 K) and only gave up 1 run, but still a very disappointing start.

I might be mistaken, but I think Akron has the top two guys in the minors in batting average (Kouzmanoff, Inglett). Nice start to an infield...
