Recent Minor Moves: NL East

I want to thank everyone who during this past week sent their condolences for the loss of my mother; it was much appreciated.

With the blizzard of moves at the trading deadline, a number of teams shuffled their minor league decks as well. Here’s a look at the recent moves by division, starting with the NL East.

Atlanta:

Richmond (IL): Sent INF Tony Pena and P Wayne Franklin to Braves. Activated INF Wes Timmons from the DL. Added P Jason Shiell from Braves, P Rich Scalamandre from Memphis (trade w/ Cardinals).
Mississippi (SL): Added P Kyle Davies from Braves on ML rehab. Activated C Eddie Perez from the DL. DL’d INF Barbaro Canizares and OF Matt Esquivel.
Myrtle Beach (Car): Added Ps Tyler Bullock and Brad Nelson and INF Robert Marcial from Rome. Activated INF Diory Hernandez from the DL. DL’d Ps Luis Atilano and Ralph Roberts and 1B Greg Creek. Sent P Nelson Payano to Rome.

Danville (Appy): Placed C Tyler Flowers on the suspended list (PEDs). Added C Jeff Stevens as a minor league FA.
