That's just wrong.
He's still one of the best hitters in the AL. And withouth him, the Angels are screwed.
Vlad is arguably the best right-fielder in the AL; you take a player of his quality out of the lineup from any team and they are screwed.

Yeah, that's why they've won two division championships in the last three years, and went to the final week last year, despite having the league's worst defense.
Rip on the offense all you want, but the fact is, if they'd finished in the middle of the pack in unearned runs last year, they probably would have won the division again.
"Arguably"? Who else is even close? I think he's arguably the best player in the AL.
