Good news for the wildcard race: I guarantee the O's will not lose more than one additional game to the Red Sox this season.

Bad news for the wildcard care: Baltimore is apparently gonna be all bullpen in tomorrow's game against the Sox, owing to Guthrie's tired arm.

I always forget: what's the scenario for a tie? One game playoff, right? Or three? Do they flip for homefield or is it based on head-to-head records?

In the increasingly unlikely event they tie and finish ahead of the AL East runner-up, then they both make the playoffs and the division winner is the team with the better head to head record.
