So 5 of the six guys the Yankees thought would be starting this season are currently not pitching...and the one guy there is 39 year Mike Mussina, who everyone wanted to dump at the beginning of the season!

Looking at that rotation, I wonder what Roger Clemens is up to...

Well if Sidney jumps into an ocean, you might have your Monsoon, or at least a flood.

I'm no expert but that ain't exactly a great starting five.

Not so fast, says Pettitte in the New York Post:

Despite Internet reports to the contrary, Andy Pettitte said today he's going to make his next scheduled start, Sunday in Anaheim against the Angels.

"I am fine. [Missing a start] is news to me," Pettitte said, speaking in the Yankees clubhouse before tonight's game in Texas. "I feel great. No one has ever discussed missing a start with me. I am pitching. I have not discussed missing a start with anybody."

Per George King, Pettitte said ""I am fine. [Missing a start] is news to me" in the clubhouse before the game.

Andy is sorry if you are upset that you thought he was missing a start.

"I am fine. [Missing a start] is news to me,"

Then Girardi goes down to the bullpen and says,

"Everyone who is making their next start take one step forward -- Not so fast there, Andy. Didn't you get the memo?"

Andy just misremembered which starting pitcher was hurt.

They should bring up Jairo Heredia. I hear his comps are Pedro Martinez.

Someone's probably just looking for an explanation for the 14 runs he's allowed in his last 10 innings pitched.

This definitely makes the Yankees the favorites to win it all this year.

Andy is sorry if you are upset that you thought he was missing a start.

I laughed.
